Is there a difference between deodorant and anti-perspirant?

I read one time that anti-perspirant is stronger than deodorant. I haven't had to buy either for a long time because of all the freebies that I've received but do you think there is a difference? Have you ever read the ingredients...

I have always shied away from deodorant/ anti perspirant sticks cos they stifle perspiration and obstruct a normal body process and since they ALL contain aluminium, are harmful especially to women - its been proven they can lead...
