I honestly don't think I've ever went to a store to try bathing suits on...I usually just order them online so I can get the top and bottom in two different sizes.

I personally like the monokini or bikini best. The monokini has the cut out sides and covers a little more so it leaves a little more to the imagination. Plus, since I had my c-sections I don't have to worry about my scar showing...
