Do you make your own bug spray? Do you buy a cheap, but natural brand?

The bugs this year are absolutely horrible. Mostly mosquitoes and our little biting flies. Do you have something that you make or buy that keeps them away? I want to be able to garden outdoors without being eaten alive!

Help! How do I get rid of these horrible biting flies that bother my dogs?

They're absolutely terrible..and stubborn! They'll sit on our dogs, especially the ears, and bite them so much that they're bleeding. The poor dogs sometimes just give up and let them bite. Unfortunately I can't stand out there...
