And found this little critter (in the picture) chilling out on the tomato cage with no tomato in it. My first thought is that it's a young grasshopper. Any entomologists out there that know otherwise?
It's definitely warm out...

Yesterday I was siting at my computer and Brendel comes through the pet door, from the screen room. She was making a muffling sound. I...

Put on my boots to carefully go out and feed the birds earlier. We had ice all day yesterday and some snow today. Making the deck and other surfaces very slippery.
I came back in and started snapping photos from behind the patio...

Was out looking at the flowers earlier. Got lots of rain last night. No watering was needed. I snapped a photo of some of my flowers. And out jumped this little rabbit.
Funny, there are a few rabbits in the yard. They are not...

Was out in the yard late yesterday. The weather was so nice.
There are now four rabbits that pretty much stay in the yard. They love the clover and the grass.
This one froze and I was able to get pretty close with my phone...

Was at the garage window earlier, peeking and hoping to see the thrasher bird on her nest of eggs.
Instead I saw this little critter walking around at the base of the tree.
A baby rabbit! So cute, I snapped the photo through...

Americans seem to be fond of using the word "critter", which as far as I know is not used anywhere else in the world.
Is this simply another way of saying "creature", which would imply that it means any living creature that is...

Just got back from the doctor, this bite on my leg was getting a little worrisome. Whatever it was it happened Saturday and it itched like crazy. I 'assumed' it was a mosquito and gave the bite a good shot of Benadryl spray....

My cat came in the room where I was watching TV last night. I didn't hear him, though, I heard the CRUNCH. He was eating a baby bunny, a TINY baby bunny. (Wild, of course, we live in the country.)
I wasn't...

Now, I see pretty good for someone in my mid-50's and I realized right off that I was seeing an opossum.
I used to have one that lived...
