How do you make home fries, or home made french fries?

When I was growing up, my mom made the most delicious home fries. Of course, she used lots of cooking oil. So, maybe that was her secret to tasty home fries. Anyway, I never figured out how she made them. And, she never told me....

This morning, I had a PB&J sandwich and Doritos. Normally, I don't get chips with my sandwich. But, for some reason, the meal didn't seem complete without them. I've always loved having some type of chips with sandwiches....
