Personally if I had my choice, I'd take advice from a cat. That is assuming both dogs and cats could talk. I mean think about it, cats have found a way to be integrated into average home life, with zero work expectations. They are...

My little female cat, EB, loves to have her belly rubbed. Actually, it's the only thing that she loved when she was a kitten and it helped her go to sleep and stop fussing. And, I've never had a problem with it before. It was...

Tonight I was watching an old episode of Fraiser, where he has to take his Dad's dog Eddie into the vet to have him fixed. And, he felt so guilty about the entire event, that he sat there in the waiting room explaining to the dog...

Today I was watching a show about a woman who cooks homemade gourmet meals for all her dogs. And, I was wondering, do you think it's right to do such a thing? Dogs are just pets, right? And, I know they can seem human sometimes,...

One of our outdoor cats just had a litter of kittens a couple weeks ago. We're not exactly sure how old the kittens are though. And, I've noticed that the babies look like they are at least two to four weeks old and still nursing...

As some of you already know, yesterday we adopted three stranded newborn kittens. We found the first one Tuesday night and then the other two earlier Wednesday morning. We waited and watched for their mother to return today, but...

When I was a kid, we had to keep our dog behind a fence or he'd run off. I'm not sure why he did it, maybe he was just unhappy. Is this true for all dogs? Do all dogs run away if they are not behind a fence or chained up? Can a...

Have you ever heard of fainting goats?
Last night on Conan, a guy was talking about the fainting goats that he has on his farm. Turns out fainting goats don't do that fake stage fainting like you'd see in the movies. Instead...

Sometimes my cat eats way too fast, and then spits up his food. He does this at least once a day.
How can I make him slow down so that he has a chance to chew the food better? I think if he would slow down he wouldn't get so...

A couple years back, when we moved, our biggest male cat was lost temporariliy outdoors and our female cat started exhibiting unusual behavior. She would roll on the floor and hide under the bed. And, she didn't want to be petted,...

Currently, our two cats share the same litter box. But, I've noticed that the big male cat beats up on the female cat after she uses the litter box.
I'm not sure if he considers it to be his sole litter box property or if he's...

Our neighbor's cat caught a bird outside today.
She does this all the time, and doesn't seem to be affected by it. It's sad, because I love birds. But, she's a cat, so she does what she wants!
I'm worried though that the...

My female cat gets extremely dry skin during the summer and develops bad skin irritations.
She keeps cleaning her fur in one spot, until the hair falls out. And, I'm sure that's her way of trying to treat an itchy spot.
I...

I'm worried that my female cat might run outside and get into a fight with one of the neighborhood cats.
She's a real puff-ball, but she can hiss a lot!
If a cat gets spayed, does she lose the ability to defend herself?

Do you think it would be safe to switch my cat to a vegetarian diet?
Cats are carnivores naturally, but is it possible to get them to eat more vegetable-based foods, like rice?
Do cats need meat in their diet?

My big cat is always restless and running around the house. He's been this way for years. Sometimes he'll run up on the couch, and sit on the pillow next to my head.
I'm not sure if it's a natural cat hunting instinct or just...
