Why india lost the series?

I think the the main reason behind this was team selection.Yusuf pathan and Rahul dravid was not selected.Kohli and jadeja both are not ideal for 50 over match.

India beat Australia by 72 runs.Australia lose after 16 straight wins in the test.What do u think about this? For all that the Indian team went through,I believe its a big breakthrough.The humiliation etc.
