Cosigner able to access???

When someone over the age of 18 cosigns for your bank account when youa re under t he age of 18, can they access your account or are they just liable if you dont do proper banking???? I need a cosigner but Im not sure who to trust...

I need to find a bank here in Canada that I can use for everyday, personal banking and maybe that will loan money for school and such. Id like it to be one thats international and therefore can access anywhere I am in the world...
