are piranhas really dangerous? i remember a movie long, long ago about piranhas eating humans. piranhas had also been shown in kiddie cartoons as a fish biting specie. so, what's piranhas' real score?

Anybody got or ever had pet piranhas.? I would like them as pets but im guessing they would be incrediably difficult to look after and care for.Dangerous to so it may be illegal to actual own piranhas.Please tell me your storys...
