do you wash vegetables before slicing them or after?

i have observed that some people usually wash vegetables before slicing but i have also seen people slicing or cutting them before washing. my way is washing first before slicing. what do you think? what's your way of preparing...

slicing homemade breads

I have been making a lot of bread lately - roughly 1-2 pounds a day. I think that will slow down a bit after the novelty wears off a bit with the family. Anyhow - I am finding I have trouble slicing the bread for sandwiches....

How to slice onion without watery eyes..?

do you slice your tomato?

when you use tomato when eating do you slice it or just enjoy it to squirt in your hands, me i prefer the latter, its more fun and i feel tomatoes to be little different. :)
