With the new star ratings it made me think of something...Do you think that we should have a 1-10 or even a 1-5 rating thing, instead of the (+,-)??? What do you think?

I have just seen a new alert on mylot page. It tells me of a new algorithm of giving reputation star to users. I am totally confused . What is this reputation? Is it different from the mylot user ratings? I have a 9 star rating ....
