What is your Chinese zodiac animal?

I was born in 1972 ~ which was a Year of the Rat. I just wondered if anyone out there knows what this signifies? What it's supposed to mean? In the traditional/American zodiac, I'm a Virgo ~ which I know signifies innocence...
