Fuzzy Copaxone receipt

Copaxone cost over $1400 for a 30 day supply. I think it's helping me. I haven't had so many severe attacks or relapses since being on it. And apparently it takes up to 9 months to get to full strength. I'm just about there now.

Fireworks display

People had a grand time and got dazzled last night watching professional firework display. These shows are done every year and participated by countries in most part of the world. While being awed by these spectacular display of lights, smokes, and sounds, it got me thinking how much would a show like this cost? So I made a research and conservatively, it will cost $50K. In poor countries, it means it can feed a lot of people in more that a year's time. $50 grand is up in smoke in 30 minutes that could have been used in saving people's lives etc., Though I enjoyed watching the fireworks, somehow it doesn't make sense when you think of poverty in other parts of the world, does it?

Cost of living

Cost of living is the cost of maintaining a certain standard of living. Changes in the cost of living over time are often operationalized in a cost of living index. Cost of living calculations are also used to compare the cost of maintaining a certain standard of living in different geographic areas. Geographic differences in cost of living can be measured in terms of purchasing power parity rates. generally Employment contracts, pension benefits, and government entitlements (such as Social Security) can be tied to a cost-of-living index, typically to the consumer price index. A cost-of-living allowance (COLA) adjusts salaries based on changes in a cost-of-living index. Salaries are typically adjusted annually. They may also be tied to a cost-of-living index that varies by geographic location if the employee moves.
