ElicBxn I was trying to take her to the vet when she bit me. I think she might have a small injury to her foot. I'm going to tell them to check it while they have her.

Marie Anne I don't see what being afraid of other cats has to do with anything. It's the law. When a bite occurs, they have to quarantine.

Marie Anne Yep, any time a bite is involved, they have to be quarantined to watch for rabies, etc. I tried to take in a couple of feral kittens some years ago and when I was able to grab one of them, she did a real number on me. I turned them over to animal control...

ElicBxn I went down to the center and I only have to work 11 hours so that's 2 hours a day plus an hour on Sat and I will beable to take Mitten home on Sat.

Darkwing Ok... it was just an after thought. I do hope you get Mitten back soon. After all, you rescued her in the beginning and now that is all being undone by Animal Rescue. I don't really know what they solve by taking her away, but I do feel that it would benefit...

ElicBxn I've never dreamed about Mitten. She's not one of my upfront in my face cats because she's so wild. she's just the nice but wild kitten that I rescued 14 years ago from Iva's place with her 2 brothers, sister and mother.

gemini_rose Poor thing, how awful for the both of you. See what annoys me, is hospitals are quick to report things like that, but not so quick to report the real dangerous things that happen. I really hope you can manage to get her back soon.

jwfarrimond Sorry to take so long to respond to this question, but I've only just seen it. We have no rabies in the UK because we have very strict laws on the importation of animals. These laws are strictly enforced, and since we are on an island, it's possible to do this...
