How can I share an internet connection with two computers

I would like to share a broadband connection to two computers. How can it be possible? I'm quite a newbie with networking and it's a little bit confusing. What devices will I need in this type of connection?

AJMSmith i would make sure that the mail is really originating from your address ... i've seen a lot of mail apparantly originating from a domain that sends out NOTHING. The email simply has a false senders name on it ...

AJMSmith No ... apart from anyting else the Moon is close enough to the Earth to pull the Earth from a strictly eliptical orbit.

AJMSmith Not all iron compounds are ferro-magnetic ... it all depends on the arangement of the atoms in the structure ... stainless steel is a good example of this.

AJMSmith Nothing lasts for ever. In the future bulbs may last for decades but not for ever. Entropy gets everything in the end.

AJMSmith First update your copy of windows ... if that does not work check that any addins you have for explorer are not the cause ... finally make sure you have not caught a virus/installed malware.

AJMSmith Use a wireless router. Any PC attached to the network will need a network card. Cat 5/5e/6 cable will be needed if the machine is not a wireless card. Use the instructions which come with the hardware to set up the ntwork.

Daylight Savings Time

Daylight savings time starts this weekend in Canada and the States, but other countries still adhere to April 4. So do computer programs... Will this cause any major problems or is it just this year's flavor of "Y2K"?

AJMSmith Not with windows .... the registry contains the data used for the time zone/ clock changes and this is flexible enough to cope. You can even add custom timezones if you wish.

We have a brick of regular size. It weights 4 kilogrammes. How much do u think a similar brick, 4 times smaller, but made of the same material weigh?

AJMSmith Cut the linear dimensions bt a factor of 4 and the brick is 164th the weight (a stack 4x4x4 fills the same space) so the weight would be 1/16 Kg or 62.5g

AJMSmith 5L contents 3L contents Fill 5L with water 5L 0L Fill 3L from 5L 2L 3L Empty 3 L 2L 0L Put the remainder from the 5L into the 3L, 0L 2L Fill the 5L 5L 2L Top the 3L up from the 5L leaving 4L in the 5L. 4L 3L QED.
