Emotional support for men

Blessing Francis @Fairyodmother (17) 2 Sep 23

Men find it hard to share their emotions with women why? They find it hard to be emotionally volunrable with women .. To talk about their mental health or seeking therapy...is it a pride thing or they feel women won't...

Sharon Elton @Fairyodmother Yes, that's right. Men need to know that it's OK to ask for help, and it's actually a sign of strength not weakness. If I had a fella I'd make sure I supported him in whatever way he needed.

Sharon Elton It is probably because, as a man, they feel they should remain strong. They might feel that admitting that they need help might make them seem weak, and they might be embarrassed about that. Pride might come into it at some point too.

Danna B. Men should not keep their problems bottled up. In today's world it is so much stressful events that you need to talk with a therapist. A woman is a good Therapist and give good insight into these situations.

Karen Hellier I think they do require emotional support but they are taught from childhood to be strong and not show their emotions. That's a hard habit to break.

Anne Marie Guyer What do you think about this scenario? A girl gives a guy the big rush then after the guy's parents meet the girl's parents, the girl backs off. Is it because her parents don't like the guy's parents?

DE Welcome to myLot. Because most people run on momentum and believe that if you like them, you'll continue to like them without any extra effort on their part.
