Jamdin My sneakers now have Velco but my hiking boots have laces. I tie them since I would trip myself if I did not. I always tie my laces and I could never understand why people would not do so.

watering the plants before sunrise

I am told that it's best to avoid watering the plants when sun is up and ground is warm. Without heat from sun, less water evaporates and more get absorbed by the soil. So I am told. Please post your views on this :)

Jamdin Yes, watering is best done early in the morning before the sun has a chance to warm up the ground. To reduce the need for watering, use compost and manure so the soil can retain moisture better.

Jamdin Unfortunately, Elvis started popping pills early in his career. Some say that he started while he was in the Army to stay awake. It's a shame that he died without ever getting off them.

Jamdin My grandma used to save bread bags. She used them for her homemade bread naturally. Other uses included as an outer wrapper for frozen foods, loose crayon holders, box filler (this was before foam peanuts), shelf liner and waste bag. I used to blow them up...

Big Belly in Middle aged may lead to Dementia?

I have never heard of such! I read this in the paper this morning, Study finds that having a big Bellies in their 40's are more ikely to get Alzheimers disease and other forms of dementia I their 70's according to a research now...

Jamdin People with big bellies will be lucky if they live to be 70 since they have to deal with hypertension, possible diabetes, heart trouble and other health problems long before then.

That was probably one of the most heart wrenching, beautiful, saddest good-bye scenes I have ever seen on TV. I welled up like a newborn baby! What did the rest of you think?
