tinker_bel yes you should, why not? to add more income to your business. and to make other people aware that this stuff is available. you will never know what kind of people are out there looking at the things that you are selling. with regards to the information...

It looks like mylot is being dominated by the women members

vijayanths @vijayanths (7877) • India 22 Dec 09

What could be the reason for this? May be women are having more time for part time work? may be women stay at home for longer periods than men in a day. Women find mylot as a good platform for making a few bucks and also...

A new measure of time.

nannacroc @nannacroc (4049) 15 Dec 09

My nine year old grandson has come up with a new unit of time. It's called a Grandad and it varies from five minutes to two or more hours. Do you think we should adopt it?

Just an Ordinary Owl? The kind of clock that keeps Grandad time is not seen so much these days. It is one of those that was too tall for the shelf so it stood 90 years on the floor. It was bought on the morn of the day that he was born &c &c.

The Golden Compass and Religion

RieRie @RieRie (820) 7 Nov 09

Apparently the Catholic Church didn't like The Golden Compass, but I'm wondering why? I can understand them not liking things like Life of Brian or The Da Vinci Code, because they actually mention religion, one mocking it and the...

dorypanda I'm not entirely sure about it, but I was 'warned' not to watch it by a Christian friend of mine, apparently it has more to do with the fact that the person who wrote it is an atheist rather than anything interesting. Here's a link to something I found on...

missliss08 I guess that did not answer your question completely. The people who the children are rising up against, are basically the church. They question their authority, and their rights to think with their own minds. This is the basis for the religious groups not...

Demands for Debt Payment

pumpkinjam @pumpkinjam (8873) • United Kingdom 25 Oct 09

I recently had a threatening letter demanding payment of a debt (you know, the kind where they tell you that if you don't pay, you'll have to pay more). There was no option to call the company in case of dispute, it seems it had...

2 responses

p1kef1sh I would challenge the demand and say that you want a proper meter reading or whatever the bill is for. They are within their rights to demand payment and in any form that they like - but only for the goods supplied. Buy time by getting them to re-calculate the...

Whose idea was it, that if someone couldn't afford something, they pay more?

RieRie @RieRie (820) 24 Aug 09

I've had a revised bill recently, stating that because I can't pay about £300 all at once, I'll be charged an extra £50. If I then couldn't pay that there would be more charges. Admin charges are sort of fair enough, but £50 is...
