The Flying Spaghetti Monster

kdmlrys @kdmlrys (398) • United States 23 Apr 09

I notice that some atheists (like Richard Dawkins, Michael Shermer, Christopher Hitchens, etc. - most of them are evolutionists) fondly use this concept of The Flying Spaghetti Monster in order to present to the public that the...

ulalume I think your missing the whole point of this Flying Spaghetti Monster. This "being" is said to really just enact all of God's roles. These people use him to show how fairly easy it is to create an idea, and how many people can find it to be ridiculous (or not)...

diamania @diamania (7011) • Netherlands 26 May 09

Hello mylotters, I try to spend a lot of time helping out people but I don't always get replies. Even a "Thank you, your reply is appreciated. You really helped me out. Cheers" would be enough to me. Better would be to ask...

Okay, so I took another read through the Do's and Don't and I have found that I'm just naturally dispositioned to write about things that are on the Don't list... I guess I don't understand some of the don'ts... I mean, I'm...

Just an Ordinary Owl? Most of the things on the Don'ts list are there because they don't naturally make for good discussions (or rather, are not inclined to invite 'quality' responses). There are some things like jokes, recipes, 'information only' posts and adverts to which...

Did you have a job that frustrated you a lot?

Scarrlet @Scarrlet (168) • Ukraine 24 May 09

I am having my first job right now, and I really like it, both the work itself, and the attitudes of my colleagues. But I wonder what happens if the job frustrates you a lot? Can you stand this? Do you usually quit, or decide to...

Phyrre @phyrre (2317) • United States 23 May 09

Conservatives: if abortion were made illegal, would you be willing to fund orpha

karpatzio @karpatzio (106) • Israel 21 May 09

There are about 800,000 abortions per year. The estimated cost of caring for a child is about $10,000 per child per year (on the low end -- assuming we keep kids at the poverty line). This means that the first year alone the...
