I have often asked myself this question throughout my 38 years, but haven't ever been able to come up with a logical answer. I don't mean the white lies a child may tell to keep from getting into trouble, but the lying of someone...

DW Davis I don't lie to my wife. I will even tell her when the dress makes her look fat. And I hope she doesn't lie to me. My students will sometimes lie, but they know I don't ask what they've done unless I already know the answer.

Mike Lying to someone you're in a relationship with shows a lack of respect in my opinion. I don't think I'd tolerate any lying unless there was a very very good reason for it. Relationships are based on trust and if you're being lied to you can't trust the...

Why is it that people think that you have to "move on" after the loss of a loved one? I don't want to "get over it"! It has been almost six years, and my heart still aches the same as it did the day I got the phone call. My dad...

Anne Marie Guyer It is always sad when there are frictions within the family. I can relate because we have a relative on my Mom's side that we had to cut out of our lives. We had true honest reasons why this was best to do. It is sad , though.

Kristen Howe I'm sorry for your loss. I've lost my mother two years ago next week. I'm real close to my brother. It doesn't hurt to talk to your father who's in heaven. I do it with my mother from time to time.
