UnicornDancer I always told my daughter that I was doing my job right if she was embarrassed. That when she had kids she would do the same to hers. Now she enjoys doing things with me and doesn't get embarrassed any more.

UnicornDancer She may think you are wanting to play when you roll over. To a dog that is a position of submission. Have you tried, once she is laying down, to roll her over as you are giving the command? That may help her to understand what you are wanting.

UnicornDancer You might try lay down first. My mom taught our dog to sneeze. Sit up and beg is another one. Just remember start small and take each trick one step at a time. Fetching a ball or other toy is a fun trick too.
