Andrew @AndrewFreyne (6281) • United Kingdom 4 Oct 10

I don't know if anyone else is experiencing this but I logged into My Lot this morning and I notice that the pictures of the different interests at the top of the page are not showing. I know this is not a discussion as such but I...

UserPinks Oh no! I'm faceless! It's the first thing I noticed today. Maybe they're doing some sort of site maintenance that has caused the photo error for a short period of time. I'm sure it'll be resolved soon.

Chocolate Diet To Loose Weight

skysuccess @skysuccess (8857) • Singapore 1 Oct 10

Yes! You've got it right and I am equally baffled with this recent article on how a man lost over 15 stone just eating one of our favorites - Chocolates. What's even more pleasantly bizarre is that this man actually suffered...

UserPinks That's insanely interesting. I wondered when somebody would try something like that. I think everything else in the world has already been tried (only vegetables, only fruits, only meat, only bananas, only apples, only juice, only...). Now, lose weight with...

Wendy @jerzgirl (9412) • United States 21 Sep 10

I found my phone in the bathroom sink this morning covered with water!! OMG! I have no idea what happened, but it wasn't there earlier. It had been sitting on the side of the sink. One of the cats must have knocked it into the...

UserPinks Oh, dear! I recently dropped our GPS into the washer and gave it a good full cycle. When I was transferring the clothes to the dryer I saw what I had done. Hubby was quick on his feet and tried the rice method as well as putting it close to one of the...

UserPinks I completely relate to this. Hubby and I were watching hoarders the other day and we got to discussing some things in relation to that. It's really human nature to hoard. You want a safe place at home with everything you need. So, of course, you consider...

If you are to live or visit a new place, do you adopt their language or culture?

torchablazed @torchablazed (3218) • Philippines 21 Sep 10

Although there are those who can understand a the culture and language in the new place they live in, many are not able to adopt or have spoken their native tongue. I know its not easy but eventually some would learn and use them....

UserPinks Before visiting an area I would, most definitely, want to know a bit about the culture. If the language spoken was something I was not familiar with, for the most part, then I would seek lessons or some sort of tutoring to educate myself. Nobody wants to be...

Metatronik @Metatronik (6198) • Pasay, Philippines 21 Sep 10

Do you still enjoy watching cartoons even if you know you are already old enough? What kind of cartoons that you are watching? Are you following it? How come you are still watching cartoons even if you are already old? Are...

UserPinks I really love cartoons and animations. As a matter of fact, my favorite movie is an animated children's film. I've watched cartoons all of my life and don't plan to stop any time soon. There is something almost magical in watching cartoons. The characters...

chiumee @chiumee (850) • Philippines 21 Sep 10

i have tried both. doing a task gives more cents. yes, i enjoyed it for some time. but i now prefer involving myself in discussions. i feel like i'm enjoying joining different discussions. i can exercise my mind and learn a lot....

UserPinks I enjoy adding to discussions rather than completing various tasks. It's just my nature to help, give advice, and share my tidbits of knowledge with others. I'm not into a lot of this PTP type deals anyway since they always seem kind-of spammy or overall...

Out of work but the kids still want Christmas!!

RonanDoran @RonanDoran (201) • Ireland 21 Sep 10

I'm sure your all well aware of the world recession? I've been hit pretty bad by it in that I lost my job. Not knowing this my young daughter handed me a letter for Santa Claus about four days ago. I added up everything that was...

UserPinks I would be honest and open with my children. Santa Claus isn't real and, unfortunately, at some point you will need to confess that to them. I know many people feel that Santa is the "spirit of Christmas" but you need to think about your situation. Santa...

A friend gave me a bunch of velveta. What would you use it for?

writersedge @writersedge (22563) • United States 21 Sep 10

She can't use it all before it expires. I think when there are only one or two people in a family, these warehouse stores like SAM's encourage overbuying and more stuff thrown out unless you really rotate and work at eating the...

UserPinks I don't really have Velveeta often, and grew up without it, but I know of a few good things that you can couple with it. It makes pretty tasty broccoli and cheese. It also makes delicious grilled cheese sandwiches. It's great if you mix some of your...

Pay It Forward - Random Acts of Kindness

elizabeth0328 @elizabeth0328 (12) • Canada 20 Sep 10

I try to be a caring person every day, and am a strong believer in random acts of kindness. It doesn't take a lot to do something nice for a complete stranger, and I would hope that the stranger receiving the act of kindness would...

UserPinks Everyone can participate in random acts of kindness. The truth is, it doesn't take money or intelligence to be able to be kind to others. I, too, wish more people would just push forward and do something nice for at least one person each day. My instructor...

Is love enough in a relationship?

canaussie @canaussie (221) • Australia 21 Sep 10

UserPinks More than loving each other, you must know how to communicate your thoughts and feelings to the other person. That is where most couples go wrong and, hence, why couple's counseling has been so widely embraced. It just gets people to open up and talk. You...

browneyed @browneyed (2522) • United Kingdom 6 Aug 10

UserPinks Not so much "get away" from it all but, rather, change my life around. I mean, usually when people talking about getting away it means they're thinking of a vacation without having to deal with kids, pets, work, school, or any of the craziness life throws at...
