andrewlangley78 I have the bad habit of correcting other people. I don't mean to do it, I just do. As for you correcting yourself...Other than being made fun of I would think this would eventually help you say the word or words correctly.

andrewlangley78 I would use a free program like PC INSPECTOR™ File Recovery, look it up on google. I bet it will solve your problems.

andrewlangley78 You could try a live CD of Linux. If the Ethernet works fine with the live cd then I would proceed with the other steps of checking for virus/spyware, deleting the drivers then reinstalling, trying another network adapter.
