My parents were very strict when I was young.

Augustta @Augustta (1850) • Poland 28 Apr 07

I think it's good for parents to be strict especially when children are younger. My parents were strict when I was young. I didn't use to like it, but after I got older, I realized that it was because they love and care about...

Toothbrush accident

A woman in Hong Kong nearly died after swallowing her toothbrush. Somehow she managed to call for help and was rescued. My question is how do you swallow a toothbrush in the first place!?

audreych maybe it was one of those travel size brushes and she was brushing the back of her tongue (oh she would also have to have a big mouth) and she just swallowed? Maybe she was TRYING to swallow the brush, like the people who swallow swords? Either way that's...

My son is left handed from the first signs of holding a crayon, I noticed that he used his left hand, I even attempted to place things in his right until I gave up... I have no idea what causes one to be left handed, I was...

audreych I am left handed (so is my mum) and when I went to school they tried to change that. There is nothing wrong with left handers! I can now write with both hands and do most other things right handed. Left handed people are more artistic and there is actually a...

The worst thing that happened this week....

maildumpster @maildumpster (3815) • United States 13 Mar 07

This was inspired by a discussion I just replied to. Today I got a letter from social security saying oops we overpaid you. Pay us back. They claim to have over paid in excess of $8000!! I am going to appeal but I am scared I...

audreych Yep, I feel for you. I've been there ($5000). The first thing is to call and say you can't pay it upfront and get them to take it out of your pay (the minimum is $25 per fortnight). Go through the appeal process and if you win you will get the money back. It...

audreych If it was a problem she would have said something instead of just writing it down. The standard conditions also say no fish, indoor plants or waterbeds which is in case they leak and ruin the floor. Another tip as far as urine smell goes try odour absorbing...
