I dont know about the rest of you but i like going to the discussions with no responses better then going to the new discussions because i find that some of the ones that havent been answered are actually good ones that were just...

balalaika Yeah i prefer them, often when a discussion has too many replies i fear my reply will sound redundant...however if it's a really interesting discussion then i still put in my 2 cents, no matter how many replies :) in the end i think that's all that matters,...

myLot's moderators..... do you think they exist?

friendship @friendship (2084) • Canada 6 Jul 08

I am always thinking that myLot has moderators. But I don't know how many moderators myLot should have. Presently, they have about 135,116 members. I remember that I ever responded to one discussion. But that discussion was...

balalaika I'm sure they have live moderators, i don't think a moderating 'software' could ever exist...it may sound crazy with the number of discussions started, but then again not all of them need moderation...when a situation gets out of hand it's more likely to be...

polachicago @polachicago (18716) • United States 5 Jul 08

My heart is broken. Little black kitten is sitting on the top of the tree crying for help. It happened next to bank location. Local residents call fire department, but fire department refused to help. The tree is very, very...

balalaika Don't cats always land on their legs? You could just wait for the branch to break and then the kitten'd would land safely :s If not you could maybe put a mattress under the branch or something...i don't think anyone should complain about the mattress being...

What are your feelings about a married couple in love but not sleeping together?

CharRay7 @CharRay7 (1549) • United States 3 Jul 08

Hi, I've been married to my hubby for 9 years now and yes we still love each other. For the past 7 years, we've slept in separate rooms, in separate beds. Reasons: 1. he likes it warm, I like it cool 2. he snores and I'm...

balalaika It's easy for him to say that but he's not the one that can't get a good night's sleep D: it can be hard sleeping with snoring noises and your partner tossing and moving, i'd be really annoyed, i need total peace or i can't sleep :| and room, too...i believe...

On the matter of sleeping...

dodoguy @dodoguy (1292) • Australia 21 Feb 08

Hello fellow multi-centarians, Here's a hard question to answer (well for me, anyway). Why do we need to sleep? Let's be honest with ourselves here, whatever "sleep" is, it does seem to be a hard physiological requirement...

balalaika Well it's a tough question and i probably can't answer as to why our body needs to be resting in order to regenerate our cells and have more energy for the day. Personally i think it's a waste of time but on the other hand as soon as i try to sleep less time...

balalaika My favorites (for online reading) are http://mangavolume.com/& http://anime.plan9.de/anime/manga/ for older titles. I'd recommend that you check stoptazmo.com and http://www.manganews.net/ out anyway, you can't read manga online there, but the first has a...

balalaika I think a little bit of both is good, encouraging them so that they may feel motivated i think is a good option but also you must sometimes pressure them if they are not doing well in school or are slacking off or stuff like that. If maybe not pressuring them...

balalaika Well if you're talking about preschool then i guess it's ok but otherwise i think it's kind of overkill to send your kid to actual school at the ages you mentioned! I started going to school for the first time at age 6 like you.
