butterflygirl I would say that the best tip I could give to a parent would be talk to your child. Talk to them about what they can see around them, encourage them to look at their surroundings and to talk about what they see. Explain what's going on in the world around...

Do you read out loud or silently???

luvingmygirls @luvingmygirls (493) • United States 27 Mar 08

I have noticed that when I am reading to myself I end up reading the words out loud. I don't know why but I do. I always tell my daughter to read to herself and then I feel like a hipocritical when I catch myself doing it. Do...

butterflygirl Hi luvingmygirls. For some reason if I read out loud I find that I can't actually remember anything that i've read, it just wont stick. So for me it's much more preferable to read silently. I'm a teacher and it's very common for children to read out loud, I...

Do You Let Your Guinea Pigs Have Outdoor Time?

Pigglies @Pigglies (9329) • United States 25 Mar 08

I don't generally, I am way too afraid. There are so many things that could happen. The few times that I have done it, I've been right there literally no more than 2 feet away the entire time. We have hawks in the area, there...

Have you tried sculpting with Polymer Clay?

craftcatcher @craftcatcher (3699) • United States 27 Feb 07

I have made a couple of attempts to sculpt with polymer clay and I have to tell you it's a blast. It's easy to work with and it helps to already have colors instead of just plain gray or white like many other sculpting mediums....
