Why do people idolatrize stars?

rappeter13 @rappeter13 (8607) • Romania 2 Aug 10

My opinion is that nobody should be treated like gods, because everybody is human. Of course, stars have something special but they are only humans. We should only love their work and give them appreciation but not humiliate...

dlucks101 I would definitely agree that idolizing actors, athletes, etc is not a very good thing. I would rather have my kids look up to a character that is not real than to follow the words and gestures of a person. It will only lead to disappointment. They are all...

dlucks101 Two years is good, for you and them I think. Gives you time to have the baby develop and train without additional pressure on both of you. At two yrs difference, they will likely to bond well. It has worked for us and it worked for both of us as kids from...

And that's up from $4.06 two days ago. It seems the sky is the limit while those smug oil company execs spin their web of lies.

For or against Home Schooling?

CherBear04 @CherBear04 (483) • United States 10 Mar 08

Recently I came across an article by the HSLDA (which I had never heard of before) saying that people in California had made it illegal to home school your kids. I thought this was ridiculous as I am a supporter of home schooling...

dlucks101 Every stat ehas different regulations on requirements for homeschooling. It wouldn't surprise me that Cali would do this. I think that in time it will be a big issue as costs of sending kids to public school keep rising. It seems most states require you to...

dlucks101 Funny thing , isn't it? It really is the case of forbidden fruit. Also the competition factor. Women are much more competitive than men. Someone else has it, they want it! Plus some see it as "Maybe he is a good catch" and want to see for themselves. Some are...
