solution to USB Device not recognized..!!

When I pluck-in the USB cable of my external drive to my pc, it shows "USB device not recognized" Can anyone tell me how to make my hard drive working again as I'm unable to open it.

i have seen this asus slider. and so i feel like selling my tablets and getting this one. so i just wonder if it is worth it to buy this one. it seems cheap or just as expensive as my nexus 7. although not sure about the price ....

fungzong its not corrupt, maybe it happened because the pluck was pulled out without safely removing it
