Is it safe for over 30 people to share 1 bar of soap?

I work in an assisted living home where 30+ people share 1 bar of soap. I am trying to stop this because I feel it is unhealthy and just nasty. Does anyone know where i can find some info or proof that it is not safe? Thanks

jenniferlucas The worst part about all of this is they get all new soap donated, several hundred bars a year. Thanks

I work in an assisted living home where 30+ people share 1 bar of soap. I am trying to stop this because I feel it is unhealthy and just nasty. Does anyone know where i can find some info or proof that it is not safe? Thanks

jenniferlucas I checked webmd.com and can't find that soap sharing isn't safe. But there are so many situitions that I can think of. Also there are many diseases of the skin that are transferable.

jenniferlucas Great idea, I love that show. I wish I knew somewhere that would test soap.
