I don't ever finish all the food on my plate, I think I am just very hungry when I put the food there but I always leave some over. Just once I would like to get the right amount on the plate.

livingforever My husband is a weight lifter too and he eats so much food! But I started putting less on my plate and eating it all! If I want more I just take a couple spoons if I need more satisfaction but for the most part, less is more now to me!

livingforever I definitely don't waste it! Even if my kids don't finish everything on their plate I put it all in containers and we eat it either later that day or the next. I do feel bad for people that don't get enough food and the price of food seems to be getting higher...

I'm an early bird and most day's I take naps around 10am. I wish I didn't but sometimes I just fall asleep and can't control it! I get plenty of sleep, 8-10 hours a night, IDK why I need a nap. Do you take naps during the day?...

livingforever Your right, I think the consistency of the food has a lot to do with it too. I always overflow the oatmeal! You must be in the good ole' supersized USA!

livingforever My problem is that I am so hungry when I put the food on my plate, I have intentions on eating it but I just can't finish it. I always pack it up though, I don't have a problem with eating left overs.

livingforever I heard that the color contrast helps with portions too, I try to use a colored plate that doesn't match the color of the food but that still doesn't help! lol!

livingforever Sometimes I leave half a plate! lol, I do that with oatmeal usually because they water puffs it up and with the extra stuff I put inside like bananas and walnuts, it's just too much.

livingforever Some foods don't taste good left over for the next day but there are others that just absorb more flavor or thicken. Stews and beans, I can eat those stored for a few days but I don't like meat or fish reheated.

livingforever Oh yes, the fiber rich foods will help. Beans, oatmeal. I ate only those for a week to try a new diet and I moved 2-3 times a day.
