If God Is So Great! Why is the world he created so terrible?

4 responses

lizshab There is no IF. God is great and all he creates is good, just like him. He did not create a terrible world; he created a perfect world. It was the sin of mankind that brought all the terrible things into it. Thankfully, God has also provided a way out of all...

Have you heard from God? I've been praying to Him that I want to hear from Him but still haven't. I know self pity is a sin but I really want to hear from Him.

lizshab If we are going in faith that God's Word, the Bible, is true, just like Him; then we can see from many verses that God does indeed hear our prayers. Psalm 65:2, Hebrews 10:22-23, John 15:7. 1 John 5:14-15. We also know there are many examples of God hearing...

lizshab Oh, and get this part. Apparently they teach that only 144,000 people are actually getting into heaven (this number is somewhere in Revelation). I think they have been around long enough that they are way past that number, so why bother me anymore. I mean, I'm...

I know that the Catholic Church says that animals don't go to heaven, but every pet I have ever had they have distinct personality. I can't imagine that a creature with a personality and some forward thought couldn't go to...

lizshab I think pets go to heaven, they are part of God's creation. He has given us the ability to love them and take care of them, and they are innocent creatures...they certainly aren't going to the other place!

lizshab They are big in the area where my parents live. Have you ever noticed that they only come out when it is sunny, never on a rainy day? Anyway, here's a few options. 1) Don't answer the door, if you look out and see them, just don't bother...its your door and...

lizshab I would suggest reading books and magazines, go to your local library and just start reading. Watching TV can also be a good tool, hearing the language and also practice saying what you hear.

Is it Biblical? If so, how can it be proved? If not, then what are its origins and why is it observed? Also, if it is not Biblical, is it right to observe it?

lizshab Christmas is not a Biblical tradition in any way. It cannot be proven as a Biblical tradition. The origins of Christmas have to do with the Emperor Constantine, who was a Roman Emperor from 304 - 337. He believed in some form of Christianity and wanted his...

lizshab Prejudice is any "ism" you want to label it. Hate is hate, no matter the color you paint it (no pun intended). Hatred can take many physical forms, and someone may think because they don't actually do anything that they don't feel a negative way towards...

lizshab I would not choose diamonds. Watching the cost of human life in diamond mining was enough to turn me off forever (Blood Diamond). I don't even want an engagement ring. Gold is nice but I can live without. But if I had to choose it would be gold.

there is an easy sentence I am not really sure what it means. 'I will be there in 5 minutes.' does it mean that within 5 minutes, 1,2,3,4 or 5 minute? or it means after 5 minutes, such as 5,6,7 or more? From my understanding, it...

lizshab Basically means around about 5 minutes. Could be more or less. Says that the person is close to the meeting place.
