When on an Native American Rez, I saw a child eating a kosher dell pickle, with half of it red. I had no idea what it was. I asked the child, and he said it was a pickle dipped in cherry kool aid. He said it was great. I have never tried such a thing, have you? It doesn't appeal to me. Did you ever hear of that?

I like some pickles. I never thought about dipping them in anything. The flavor of a pickle to me is to different to be mixing with other flavors. But, kids will eat anything, especially dipped in Kool Aid. Speaking of getting dipped, I just noticed that my earnings dipped by 70 cents from this morning's update. Is this the problem you are having? Maybe we don't eat enough pickles.

Everyday MyLot drops my earnings. They want us to be on here so long, and pay nothing for our time. We are rewarded with less points.

No, the closest thing I have seen, my friend called Christmas pickles. It was a sweet pickle recipe that used up those overlooked cucumbers that were as big as submarines.Peel them, slice them, core out the seeds. For those you want to stay green, add a little green food color to the brine. For red ones, use some red food color plus boiled cinnamon red hots. These are almost like candy when done. Tastes much better than it sounds and makes a pretty relish tray.

I like pickles but not dipped in anything. I don't think I could ever eat a pickle dipped in cherry kool aid.

How odd...lol No I've never heard of this one. But kids probably would like it. I'll have to check into it and maybe make some for my nephew and see if he likes them...he likes pickles....lol Thanks for sharing. I don't think I would like it though..hehe

I've never heard of that, and it doesn't even sound appealing to me, but then I'm older. But kool aid in the powder form is appealing to lots of people, so I can see it having an audience being as lots of people like sour and kool aid. I'll have to ask my little ones in the family if this is a new fad :)

I love pickles but I never heard of this before. I think it would be a fun project to do with kids. Dp the pickles in different coolors of koolaid.

I have never heard of this. When the ice cream truck here comes around he sells dill pickles and you can get one in ice with pickle juice ovet the ice. I find this strange and not at all apealling maybe it is just a kid thing :)

Wow, this is a new one to me. I couldn't imagine dipping a pickle in koolaid or allowing my child to dip one in koolaid.
I love pickles and a restuarant near me had fried pickles so I tried those. They were quite interesting needless to say. I'm not sure if I would order them again or not.

Apparently you can make them easily at home:
Buy some kosher pickles, jump out half of the brine, and add your favorite koolaid to refill the jar. Refrigerate for a week, and then enjoy. One person on the web from Mississippi recommended using the flavor "Jamaica".
The taste is descibed as being sweet and sour.
It's supposed to be Mississippi Delta treat!
(Who knew?) :)
