I don't recommend using a tweezer. There is a chance you will do damage to the other pins while bending one back. The best method is to use a mechanical pencil with the lead removed. Just try to get the pin into the tip of the pencil and slowly bend it back into place. It's not guaranteed, but it's the best method of fixing bent pins.

Thanks. I do think that they intentionally make things breakable just to sell more parts sometimes. I mean, who came up with Ps/2 ports for mice and keyboards? I can't tell you how many times I've seen people bend and break pins from trying to force mice and keyboards in the wrong way. Why can't everything be as easy as USB or Firewire ports?

OOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!! Taskr36, that is the BEST method I've ever heard of! Actually I use the open end of a metal ball point pen insert - dang, that's an incredibly great idea. Still, I revert to tweezers for photo cards in printers..I have a blunt ended, very long tweezer (meant for suture removal) that is just the right size and width to space the pins. *Sigh* All this and 20 years of futzing with computers...every time I think I know all the fixes, something new comes out. Sometimes I think they'll keep creating breakable stuff forever! Arg. ;)

Flexed? Can you carefully bend them back with a tweezer? Has your board burned out? What CPU are you using, and what board? What brand of computer, and what system are you using? All of these questions must be answered for anyone to help you. I'd be glad to do the research for you as soon as you answer back.

Oops, sorry to say that i think your processor has no way to recover. Once the pins broken, you cannot fix back, you need to high accurate machine to solder back the chipset.Suggest you to buy a new processor.

Carefully bend it back as those friends said.Try not to give more pressure to the processor. It is very delicate.Even small pressure may affect it's millions of internal electronic components
