do you like this subject?!... if you ask me the same question, i'll be giving you a big hell NO!!... i hate numbers!!... though i get average scores on this subject, i'd rather stay at my home for a day without eating than solving those pesky numbers!!... how about you?!... do you hate math or love solving those troublesome numbers?!... you are probably right about the maths being hereditary but they are both brighter than I could hope to be! Well spotted on the avatar - it is an ultrasound of one of my angels!

i think the reason why both your kids enjoy math is maybe because while they're in your womb, you're solving a lot of those troublesome math problems (Ü) and you know, hereditary actions takes place... good day, mummymo!!... by the way, was that your kid on your avatar?!... ultrasound ryt?!... Ü

I don't mind simple math but when it comes to geometry and trigonometry, I just don't understand it at all. I don't understand why we have to learn those subjects in high school. We are never going to use those things when we get out of school unless we are going to become chemists or scientists or something like that. I don't mind numbers, but trying to prove in so many steps why a triangle has three sides to it, makes no sense to me and that comes from geometry math.

yeah, me too... i don't understand why we're doing this... what's important is just the four fundamental operations, right?!... i wish engineering students should be the only one studying this!!... haha... thanks for the response, stephcjh!!... you better be studying those pesky triangles!!... haha... I think I like math because I love solving problems (at least when I was taking math). Nowadays I don't remember the equations and it takes me a while to remember what I should do. The teachers would always say how we could use math in our professions when we grow up. Since I am working with education (Spanish language as another language) I hardly ever use anything other than basic math, so I don't use algebra, geometry, trigonometry, nor calculus. In fact, I like math a lot, but I just don't remember hardly anything. For example, it took me about 10 minutes to figure out how to do a slope intercept problem the other day, hehehe. Like I was saying, it has been awhile, however I can "re-teach" myself to do if I please. Pablo

I do not like math, but I use it everyday, just now I'm reading a math book. Numbers are one of the greatest invention of human being.

yeah, math is so useful most especially in terms of transactions and so on... what i like about math are the addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and graphing... it's so fun when you graph!!... you just have to plot the points and that corresponds to the points x and y... do i speak like a math wizard?!... haha... lol... i also hate seeing decimals and fractions when solving a problem... lol... thanks for the response windhair!!... someday you'll be a math wizard and can make you rich!!... To me it all depends on what kind of math it is that you want me to solve... i dislike fractions etc but i love money, algebra and basic equations... you may ask why??? simple... it is the same in every language, there isnt a country in the world that doesnt use 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9&0, they all use it! Even if you cant speak the native tongue of a countyr you can still go on holiday and get your favourite meal on the menu or a nice new wardrobe! I very often go abroad and cant understand what they are saying... until they stick say 3 fingers up to say it is 3 of their currency! Hence... I love maths... it helps me with my favourite pastime of travelling... i dont understand why we have to learn what 1/4 x 3/19 is.... that is just silly to me

I love math. I wish I knew more. I only made it as far as pre calculus but ended up having to drop the course due to health reasons. I hope that when my daughter is studying it; that I can learn it with her. The great thing about math is that answers are absolute. You can't give a different answer to the same problem that someone else gives. 2+2 is always 4. You know what I mean. I even like algebra! I know I am probably in the minority.

I like this subject very much. I score a O grade every time. But i never had a practical scope of application to this subject. I really like solving integration and differentiation problems. I really like maths. I love maths.
