How are you going to treat Jericho this season?

Since so many people called out and weeks after the shows cancellation convinced CBS to bring Jerciho back, for at least 7 new episodes, what are you going to do to help keep Jericho around? In the article I read: Http://tvdramas.about.com/b/a/258011.htm CBS calls out to the fans saying they've brought it back, but they need more viewers. Obviously the reasons that shows are cancelled is due to lack of viewers. They're going to do their part, trying to promote it more, replaying the first season and releasing the first season on dvd. But will this bring the people who didn't tune in before? Was American Idol part of the lack in viewing. Personally I think Jericho is a great show, but I'm not sure if I can convince any friends or family to tune in. I also admittingly didn't "tune in". For me, Jericho was a show that I had to watch without commercial interuption to pay attention to it (Much like Heroes) so instead of watching it when it aired, I'd use TiVo to record it and watch it when I could fast forward through commercials. Is anyone going to try to help find Jericho more viewers so it isn't cancelled again?

Jericho is one of my favrotie shows- I was glued to the tv every episode- I also DVR'd it- to watch it again if I wanted to- We talk about it at work all the time- Several more girls are going to watch the repeats this summer to catch up so that they can watch season 2- Mid-season- I can't wait! I say Bravo to CBS for bringing it back- I think that CBS needs to choose a good time for it to run also- Everything looses steam against Idol!

I'm still trying to figure out when mid-season is. Can someone please give me a date so I'll know Jericho will be back? Wednesdays, I got that.

I have never watched 'Jericho' before but my sister likes it. I'm bad for catching shows on reruns because I stay pretty busy in the evenings or my husband is playing video games, so I don't really have many shows that I sit down to watch. I'll ask my sister is she knows about supporting 'Jericho'.

I doubt I'm even going to support it. I just tivo it! I'm watch way too much tv. I used to work or travel all the time and could never watch prime time television until last september...and now I love having my nights free to watch tv! I'm glad your sister watches it though. I hope she's happy it's going to be back on.

I have already gotten a few people hooked. A suggestion that I have seen on the official CBS Jericho message board is have a Jericho party. Invite some friends over have some snacks or do it pot luck style where everyone brings their favorite dish. Then gather around and watch Jericho together. The DVD's are set to release in September, I think, so maybe buy that and let them watch from the beginning, that will really get them addicted. Or let them watch it online at cbs.com. You can watch all 22 episodes there. Just a few suggestions on getting your friends involved. What is awesome is when you have friends that are as addicted to Jericho as you are then you have so many different things to discuss before the next episode because it really gets your mind to running. Another thing is since there has been so much commotion about the cancellation and bringing back of the show it has attracted more viewers. Even Clay Aiken has turned his fans into Jericho fans. He posted blog after blog on his site for his fans to help save Jericho. Many of them are now fans. Just spread the word about what all happened during this campaign to bring Jericho back. You can visit Jeff's blog at www.jerichonuts.com to get all the info as to what went into bringing it back. Another suggestion is to buy some of the We Saved Jericho merchandise and wear it out. You can get links to that merchandise on Jeff's site. Thanks for doing everything you can to get Jericho back for season 3,4,5 and more!

Thanks so much and thanks for best response. I am simply a Jericho Ranger doing what the show taught us to do. Stand up and fight for what you believe in. We fought and we won, Jericho is coming back.

Wow. You're gonna be a great supporter of the show. I mean, even I admit, I'm going to watch it. I'll suggest to people to watch it, but I'm not sure how many I can get to watch it. I think the whole ordeal will probably draw people in... like "what was all the hooplah about!" and hopefully they'll stay on. It's just crazy! I'm glad they did bring it back and I hope CBS treats it well.

It is pretty good that the fans came together and brought it back. We had that happen with a radio station here, but the radio station wasn't the same. I hope Jericho lasts for sure.

I think what really hurt the show's ratings was doing that mid-season hiatus. I know some people who missed several episodes because they didn't know it was back on. I mean, what is it with these shows and these weird seasons. I used to look forward to summer re-runs, too, to catch up on a show, but not anymore. I work on Wednesday nights, so I'll probably record it as usual and watch it later.

It didn't used to be that way, the hiatus. It used to be that shows started around mid-September, then around the holidays took a few weeks off, and were back on from January to May. Now, they start much later and the break is much longer. They also don't do summer re-runs as much any more so that people can catch up.

Maybe the haitus thing seemed different when I was in school ... This year is the first year in a long time I've really gotten into tv again. I used to travel and work so much I never watched prime time.

Well I don't think CBS ever really promoted the show enough, for one. I don't think the mid-season haitus was weird, my mom complained about that. However, 90% of shows actually do that. They start in the fall. Around November/December they have a haitus, people do holiday stuff, they don't watch tv. Then after January rolls around the show finishes until spring. I think because they didn't promote the show, that's what hurt them. I'm going to record it too. no worries.

My mom was super excited and emailed me about it. That's how I found out, otherwise I wouldn't have known. I hope they do it on a new night too. If it didn't work on wednesdays they should have switched it to try it out elsewhere anyway before cancelling.

I'm like you, I used my PVR, much like TiVo, to record all my programs, but since CBS made the effort to bring it back and so did the fans, just for that show I will make the effort to tune in live and I will spread the word. Funny how they sent nuts to the CBS headquarters and how the president or whoever wrote the letter said P.S. Please stop sending the nuts.

Sending nuts was a fantastic Idea. Whoever came up with that was brilliant. I was actually wondering the other night, when I use TiVo and I record programs on Direct tv, the tuner is actually ON and tuned in. So even though my tv is off and I am not actually watching it, my Tuner is tuned in on it and I'm wondering if I do count as someone "tuning in" to the show. I hope so.

I have the same situation. I would love to know if you could do that because then I could watch it on my own time and still support the show

Oh my gosh!!! (^_^) I am so happy that the show is going to be back. I am going to let as many people know as I can. I watched about half of last seasons episodes on line and the other half on tv. Wow.

I think the reaction CBS got when the show was canceled proved that there were more fans that watched the show then the ratings showed. The rating system is outdated and TV networks need to take a look at how they get their ratings. Like many posters have said, ppl TiVo, DVR, or record shows in other formats that are not counted by the current rating system.

Totally. Tivo should really be counted as should DVR's. Technically if TiVo or your DVR is recording your tuner is tuned in to the show. So there is no reason it shouldn't be counted.

I've been preachin the gospel so to speak to all my co-workers. When the DVDs come out, I'm planning on buying a copy and lending it out to some of them to catch them up. It helped to psysch some people up for PeaceKeeper Wars. =)
