Have you ever made a dream catcher?

If you have made a dream catcher or watched one being made, what did you think about the process? What kind of materials did you use for putting the dream catcher together. I use many different things. The last few that I made were made from sharks jaws and seashells. Yes the "webbing" was of artificial sinew but most of my crafts are natural.

A friend gave me a dream catcher that he made for me. It is made of thinly woven golden threads like very fine golden wire, there are golden and silver chips in it that might once have been buttons?
It is a filigran and very fragile thing like a mobile. I think it is cute.

I think that you would have a good chance of finding someone at a pow wow to teach you in person. Learning by book can happen but if there is someone to actually teach you then I think that you will be better off. I do teach a few people one on one the are of putting together dream catchers and other native American crafts.

thank you. I am not sure on where I can find a pow wow in my area to go to but Ill have to look around. But thank you, I am looking forward on learning how to make them. I have always been fascinated by Native American culture and crafts.

I did make one, but it was a long time ago, so I don't really remember the process. But when I think about it, I think it's pretty hard. Lol. But I think they are very pretty and interesting.

no i have never made a dream catcher but it is something that i would like to try to do i also have never seen one being made when i do go to put one together i would find something to use as the circular edge and i would use animal hide as the webbing using sharks jaws and seashells would make a pretty dream catcher i do not like the artificial dream catchers i would only use all natural ones just like my indian ancestors
