Yesterday I let my one clay group know about a pet project of mine - Preemie Wish bottles. (similar to Bottles of Hope - www.bottlesofhope.org but for parents with preemies in the hospital)
A few offered me bottles, some even said they would make some and donate them to their local NICU. I was so excited that I shared the news with my preemie groups and special needs group. There are thousands of members between the groups. I was so disappointed. Only 4 people even made a comment!
I wasn't looking for everyone to compliment me or anything like that but a bit more feedback would have been nice.
This ever happen to you? (you are excited about something and share it and get almost no response to it?)

How very interesting. Not that people did not respond, but the whole idea. Especially since I have friends undergoing chemo, and I have contact with several people who have had the "preemie experience" I have a "friend" named Charlie, who was less than two pounds at birth. We have prayed for him, and loved him, and he got to come home around his due date, and we are hearing that many of the problems that he had will be outgrown, or already have been. Everyone needs hope.

I am so sorry that this happened to you, my frend....
I have been very excited about some things in my life or new things that I learned and wanted to share with co-workers and was met with similar lack of enthusiasm...it is disheartening..and disappointing....

Yeah, I've been there before too, and you are right, it is disappointing when others don't share your enthusiam. But don't let that get you down. This is something that you are excited about,so continue to be excited. You never know you excitement might be contagious over the long run!
