See my new deck....

Attached is a picture of a 3 level deck that my husband built. It might be hard to tell just how big it is from the picture, but it is huge! But I wanted to get a picture that showed all 3 levels of the deck. My husband built it himself and all in about 1 month of time. He got up early every morning at 5:30am and worked on it before work, then worked again after work in the evenings. He was determined to get it done in time for a big family reunion. And he did! We had a family reunion this past weekend in my moms honor (she passed away May 31st).

Wouldn't it be nice if everyone had a large deck where we could set up lawn chairs for relaxing

It looks like it was the perfect place to have that family reunion. From the picture it looks as if he did a very professional job. You two are a great pair, great at the home upkeep and design. I hope it gives you many hours of joy and closeness. He was certainly dedicated to getting it finished.

I guess after a few years the pictures go away, oh well. I hope someday I can afford a nice deck where I could put a few lawn chairs.

First, my sympathies on the passing of your mom. Having a party in her honor was a very nice way to remember her. The deck is beautiful. My husband is building a patio out back of our house. I got some beautiful Italian tile from a previous job that is meant to be used outdoors. I am so looking forward to using it, hopefully this summer. Good luck with your beautiful new deck and enjoy it!

Wow!! That is a nice looking deck. It is good on your husband that he has such a good work ethic to be able to do that in the timeframe. Very admirable. I hope you all enjoyed your reunion. :) cheers,

That is a really nice deck. And now I am jealous.lol. I would like a deck but our backyard is overrun by mosquitoes and I wouldn't be able to enjoy it. I am sorry about your mom but at least you did something in her honor on your nice new deck.

I'd love to get a deck big enough to put lawn chairs on so I could simply sit and watch the road.

Thank you. It's been really hard on all of us since losing my mom just a short while ago. She had Alzeheimer's. We did have a nice reunion and we all held our glasses up while my husband said a toast to my mom.

you are most fortunate, to have not only such a considerate and talented husband but that he is also ambitious and motivated. The Deck is gorgeous and rivals those seen in the best backyard living type magazines. have lots of enjoyment in the many years to come!

I think it is great that your husband can do this kind of work. My husband is no where near that handy. I bet he was so proud of hisself and he should be. I was sorry to here about your mom passing. The picture of the deck did not come through on my screne maybe you could send the picture to my mail. I really would like to see it. I bet your husband got all kind of compliments at the reunion for a great job. If I had to build this it would take a life time and it would look terrible. Again it is good to have someone who can do these kind of projects. It is very expensive to pay someone to build these decks.

That's so true, to hire someone to build a deck would cost so much more than it would really be worth.
