As some of you remember I asked for advise if there was any Treatment that would last longer then 4 weeks for Fleas as it stresses Gissi out so much when I have to do his treatment
Well I have found a way where he does not realise that I am doing the Treatment on him
As you all know he has this urge for Patchouli Oil lol also I use Lavender essential Oil for his rash and he does not mind me doing this, so an Idea built in my Head, yep blonie had a Lightbulb light up and guess what it worked
As he does not mind them Bottles I decided to clean one of the Bottles out and squirt his Flea Treatment in it without him seeing me
At first he was a bit weary as the Bottle was not brown lol, so I got the Lavender one and put some on him which he was quite Happy with, I then picked up the other Bottle which contained the Flea Treatment and he let me pour it between his Shoulder Blades, now I think he does not like the Squirting out of the tube as he never bothered at all with the Bottle, he did not growl, try to bite me or play up so much that he got stressed, so I hope it works the same in 4 weeks because knowing this little Devil he will have thought you fooled me this time but you won't next time lol
I am just glad that I managed to get it on him without him getting upset and stressed

Good idea, Gabs. A bit of lateral thinking never did any harm. I would think maybe it's either the sound of the spray, or the stray droplets have landed somewhere they shouldn't at some point and distressed Gissi.
Well done, anyway. He he he... I'll bet he thought he was smelling dandy, with Patchouli Oil. I still can't fathom what it is about that stuff. lol.
Love and hugs. xxx

That is one thing I am greatful that I haven't had a problems with when it came time to treating my dog for fleas, worms, or all that other stuff one must treat their for.
Congrats on finding a way to make it less stressful for your dog Gissi.

Yes Jewel he did
It took me a long time to get him to totally trust me and other People around him to make him realize that no one will hurt him again that he is safe but a lot of patience, love and a couple of bites that he regretted straight away he is now a friendly loving and happy Dog and he is such a bundle of Joy and fun
Thank you for reading it and I am glad that you liked it

Aww the poor little guy went through much in his life, before you got him. It always makes me smile when I hear stories of once abused animals, getting loving and caring homes. It's awesome, you surely do have a heart of gold Gabs. :)
Though now I understand why getting a flea treatment is so stressful for him. I would freak to if I had gone through something like that, if I was an animal.

Hey, blondie, great thinking. I wish my cats would find something they tolerate. Two of them are very allergic to fleas, but they hate the treatments, and they hate anything else I do to soothe their skin, etc. I did put some flea shampoo in an applicator bottle for recoloring your hair roots, and that was a little better. I feel sorry for them, and so far nothing really helps much. I bet you could scent his treatment with a little patchouli and he would do fine.

Well, Blondie, you've done it! And I promise I won't tell Gissi how you are doing it!
Now that you have proven that blondes are NOT dumb, you cannot use that excuse anymore, can you? So now you will have to find a new excuse. Love and hugs.

No, Gabs, it didn't take two years. It only took a few seconds. You didn't mull it over for two years. As I said, no excuses! You are capable and CAN do it. You've proven it - so no more blonde moments. OK?
Thanks for the rating.

Glad to hear that you have found a way to treat Gissi without him realizing it! Some dogs are so smart, and Gissi is one of them, so we have to be one step ahead, lol! Let's hope he doesn't get too smart for the next time you do it!
I have two dogs of my own, and know how stressful doing things like this can be for us owners!

Great job Gabs, I hope he does not get wise to what you are doing. I will keep your secrete. I will not tell my gang. They are all asleep, Petie is in his kennel and the girls are on the bed waiting for dad and I go to be. LOL

good thinking batman ( an expression my second son uses lol ) when we had our dog Shep we had to put him in kennels and when we brought him home we gave him some worm tablets just to be on the safe side , we gave them to him in a handful of doggie choc drops , he then promptly ate the choc drops , we thought Good one Shep , turned round and he spat out the pills , dogs are a lot smarter than we give them credit for lol , well done blondie 10 out of 10 for you xxx

What a great idea! he he he! Gissi never knew, you got one up on him, but my guess is he'll wise to it, he's crafty he is and next time he'll growl leaving you a false sense of security. Thanks for sharing, after the day I had it was really enjoyable to read about your beloved Gissi, I feel he's like Mylot's mascot! And has become part of the Mylot family X

I am glad you figured out a way to help Gissi. I am proud of you. I also have another suggestion but I am not sure if its available in your area. Its made specially for dogs. Its called Brewers Yeast. Its supposed to help their coat and it seems to help keep the fleas away. The only problem for me is that the dogs need one pill for each 10 pounds of weight and some of my dogs weigh about 100 pounds.lol. They will chew them right up. I don't have to hide the pill in anything.

Now this is interesting...you found a way to scent the flea treatment with oils. If you market the smelly treatment, you might make a fortune. I hope Gissi does not figure out you pulled a fast one on him. If he does, you will have popouri everywhere again. He will make the whole house smell.

Oh no I didn't mix it with the oil I used an empty Bottle that looked like his Oil and he let me pour it onto him as he thought it was his Oil but I let him sniff the Bottle with the Patchouli Oil first so he thought that is what it was

I am so glad that you found a way to get around your problem with Gissi, gabs. Cats are so smart that it's hard to fool them. Hopefully you will be able to keep up this little deception for his benefit.

You thought of it and therefore you are not dumb. I did not and therefore I'm dumber than a blonde. lol.
It is clever of you to let him smell the oil first. I'm glad that Gissi does not know and hope that the flea treatment is solved. Thank you for this idea. Lots of Hugs to you and XXX to Gissi.
