Do you tape your shows weekly just to avoid commercials?Is there any other reason?I know that I tape them to get away from the commercials but I also tape them so I can avoid watching certain characters.....
AMC-----Anything with Ava in it is put on my fast forward list,I can't stand her and hate what they did to Levin Rambin and her innocence as Lily.
ATWT-----I love Paul,can't stand his scenes with Rosanna right now,maybe when they get back to Oakdale it will get better.....anything with Katie or Brad in it gets put on the ff list.....Aaron and Allison aren't far behind!
DAYS-----Jeremy!I can't stand his character,or the actor,Trevor Donovan.....I pity Mike and Robin.....I'd be embarrassed if he were my son.....I also ff the Santi and Colleen S/L....BORING!
GL-----Anything with Cassie or Marina!That's all I'm saying here
OLTL-----I can't stand the scenes with Adrianna and Rex,they don't belong together and have no chemistry,I also ff Layla and Vincent.....I love these characters on their own,or with other people but not when they are with their 'men'
Y&R-----No one,I love everyone and every S/L on here.....for now!LOL
FF'ing makes the show go a lot quicker!

I only tape my soaps (B&B and ATWT) when I am most likely to miss watching them when they air. I do fast forward through commercials but that is not why I tape them. I am usually busy at the computer at the same time the shows are on anyway. I never skip through any storyline, even if I don't like it. The smallest thing could prove important later in a different storyline.

I uses to tape them but my VCR finally choked , I need a new one thats for sure ...

I only watch Days, but since I work during the day I have to tape it. If I miss it, I tape the 7pm Soapnet showing of it. I also tape it if I'm home during the day and then watch it afterwards. I hate the commercials. If there are plots/charachters I don't care for, that's when I get up to go to the bathroom or get a refill on my drink.
And yeah, Jeremy is an idiot. Ditto for the flashbacks with Colleen/Santos - although I'd like to know what the deal was with them....

I watch all of Y&R although Phyllis is really doing some dumb things just now. I read someplace that Cane is not really Jill's son and is going to join up with an Uncle who is a crookand get some of the Chancellor big bucks! Did you hear that?
The only other one I watch is the Bold and the Beautiful and I FFwd Stephanie Forrester as I simply cannot stand her,

my show are amc,gh and gh night shift and yes i recored to void commercails also cause if one of my kids are sick i let them watch what they want plus also if i miss something ill get to watch it later my favorite ppl in soap is ryan from amc,sunny from gh jason from gh elizbeth from gh robin gh and carly from gh jr from amc babe from amc adain from amc and pratick from gh and gh night shift

I don't tape my soaps, I watch them when they air and on reruns on the Soap Channel, but yes, I would like to fast forward through a few
Y&R - I don't like the new Colleen or anything to do with Cane these days, he is just so mean and hateful to Amber I would just as soon he not even be on camera
OLTL - Dorian and Vicki storyline is lame and been done a hundred times, if I could just ff though Dorian scenes with Clint I would be much happier, I think their chemistry stinks.
GH - Gotta be Sam these days, I was a fan of hers until she broke up with Jason and with all the scheming that she is doing I would do better if she would take a vacation for awhile.
BB - Lately I have been ff through everything on that soap, used to be a favorite of mine, but lately it is just a rerun of everything that they have done before.
AMC - Gotta be Greenlee, still can't stand her, but I am really liking Kendell these days, it is like a softer side of her since she had Ian these days.

The new Colleen is growing on me,I'm getting use to her but than again,I never liked Leon.....I like what Cane is doing,I never liked Amber on B&B and even less here on Y&R.I love Dorian and Viki,they are so funny!Dorian and Clint have NO chemistry at all!I can't stand Greenlee either but I like to watch her dig herself into a deeper and deeper hole everytime she opens her mouth.....I wish Kendall would spend some time with Ian,if anything happens to him she's going to regret it!

We certainly do tape Passions. The biggest reason my daughter and I work, so many times aren't home. Its great to get through the commercials fast, so we aren't wasting time. Its helpful to get through the boring characters also.

I do this also- partly because I'm not here during the day- but mostly because I ff through alot of the boring parts and the commercials- I only watch Days- I also FF through Santi and Colleen- Boring! this makes watching alot more quickly- I can watch 3 shows in the hour instead of 1 on regular tv!

Almost anything I want to watch, I record it, then when everyone else go to bed, I stay up and watch my shows. During the summer, I wouldn't watch "my" shows (OLTL,AMC, and GH), so that the children could watch their shows or play video games (it was too hot this summer to be outside most days, other than that they are outside). The commercials drive me nuts so I love to be able to fast forward through them, it lets me be able to watch more shows in a shorter period of time. Also, I like the spin off of GH, called Night Shift, but it comes on late (and sometimes, I'm still trying to watch my shows from earlier)so I record that to watch the next day.

On Days, I always fast forward Belle and Shawn. I also wish they'd get over the Colleen and Santo storyline. When will it ever end, I'm getting to where I really don't care about the big Brady/Dimera secret that started the feud. On Passions, I fast forward Theresa, Whitney, and Ethan. Now that Passions is moving to Direct TV, I won't get to watch it anymore anyway.
