Who would go on a shopping spree when one is short of finances . With a tight purse you would not dare to buy up even the most needed items . When you have lots of money you would buy up things and it is quite a lot of fun .

This may be hard for you to beleive but some people love to "window" shop. That is going and spending the day looking at things they cannot and will never be able to afford. There are also those people who spend money like they have not a care in the world. I have a friend who spends her lost dollars on pretty little trinkets. She then cannot pay her bills or she runs out of money before she gets her next pay check. I do not know how she lives like that. She knows she has a spending problem but does not try to do anything about it. I have money woes and when I spend any money that is not for paying bills I get nervour because I feel I should be saving it. I just bought new undergarments, which I needed despiratly but it killed me inside to shell out the money and they where cheep ones. LOL

That's just like me. Whatever money I spend on me is because I am absolutely desperate. I can easily spend spare money on things for the children though! I always buy the cheapest things for me and even then I think what do the boys need before I actually spend money on myself. As long as the bills are paid and the kids don't need anything then I will buy stuff I need but even today, there was a really nice top which was quite cheap and I had the money to get it but, even after I'd paid the bills and bought some stuff for the kids, I didn't get me the top because I didn't need it and couldn't justify spending the money on it!

That's great! I love shopping...but I agree...if one is on tight budget, shopping would be out of the picture...and just concentrate on buying basic necessities such as food, etc. I love to go shopping with my daughter, but only when we have an extra money like during Christmas where we receive an extra bonus from our employer...otherwise, we just focus on things which are really important...but we also pamper ourselves once in a while to de-stress our otherwise stressful days at work...

i won't judge you on your spending because once the power of money is within your hands then it is up to you to do what you want to do with it.Some people say the having lots of money is bad and it's i a sign where i beg to disagree.Money is either good or bad, it is just a bartering tool to get what you need.

Sometimes I do and sometimes I don't. Even though I might have a little extra on me, I put it away and build on it for something bigger and exciting to spend it on or for that special something I have been wanting to buy for sometime. I have found though that I do spend more when I have more LOl its hard not to!

lol you're definitely right, i couldn't agree more :) ..if we have lots of money then we can go on a shopping spree and buy the things that we want, but when your finances are tight it's no fun going shopping, we can just window shop and wish we could buy this and that.

You are right, if I have plenty of money, I love to shop, for food, for gifts and for myself. When funds are tight, all I get is discouraged. So I go work work work.

I have done this mostly to stockup on the needed things that we might need at some time when we are broke

I am on a tight budget and it sure is difficult to shop as everything is getting more and more expensive. It is no fun shopping if one doesn't have the money to splurge.

I do agree shopping is fun when one has lots of money, but, today, we don't need money to shop. Many simply just sign and someone else's pay. LOL. There is also such thing as window shopping, something which I do most often. I do not shop just to buy.

Ya, the joy of shopping is only when you have too much money with u.When u have lot of money, it becomes easy to make choice otherwise there is lot of adjustments and compromises you have to do.When I go shopping I get attracted most to the clothes of children hanging in the showcases of shops. And if u can't buy them, you get depressed. The joy you see on the faces of your children is great.........!!!!!!!

That's very true! And I wouldn't be in the mood for shopping when I don't have some surplus money (actually I wouldn't even go out!). I shop only when I have a good amount of surplus and only then I would shop freely and without much worries on paying the bills and stuff.

If I am short of money, I have no interest to go anywhere for shopping. I would only get enough that is needed, no unnecessary buying. I usually like to more on or after the pay day.

You are very right and also have a practical aproach to shopping. One need to keep track of ones financies before taking decisions on the products to buy and the value to spend on a product. After all if one spends more than ones earning power then one is likely to land in a debt trap.Infact this is what is happening with almost everything available on instalments.

I don't like shopping anyway. I would much rather shop online than traipse around the streets and malls, dodging other shoppers. It makes me so tired and achy, and I would rather save my money until I really needed to spend it. Brightest Blessings.

The only way to go on a shopping spree is with plenty of money. If you have no money, its called "Window Shopping," and that only serves to frustrate. No sir, unless I have money I am not going anywhere.

How right you are. I hate shopping as a rule, however I hate it even more when I have to consider what I have in my bank account and count up how much my purchases will be before I get to the check out counter. Its not fun. :-(

I'm with lcecelia I hate shopping. Yet, if you need clothes, you can go on a shopping spree at your local thrift shop - bags of clothes for thirty or forty dollars. Some still have the original price tags too!

That's very true. There's nothing quite like being able to buy all of the things that you need, plus a few things that you don't really need. At the moment, I'm trying to figure out how I'm gonna get clothes and shoes for my son for school. I actually think that, since he wears mostly sweats in the winter, I'm gonna get a pattern and fabric and jut make them. Then I can make some fleece pants and shirts for especially cold days. Fortunately it'll be pretty warm for a couple of weeks, so I can send him to school in his summer shorts and t-shirts.
