Iuse some store brands if they are comarable to the name brand or at least alsmost so. If name brand items are on sale I usually buy them.

Some things you just can't buy no name, others are fine, I'm not so picky, when it comes to things I can buy store brands I do.

About the only name brand thing I always buy is Heinz ketchup and A1 steak sauce. I don't like any other brand although I will buy store brand if we don't have the money. Everything else we buy store brand, including the baby's formula, food, diapers, wipes, etc.

In food I generally buy brands I trust. I've tried store brands, and I agree that they just don't taste as good. I don't mind store brands in things like body wash and other products like that, though. They seem to work just as well as the more expensive brands.

I know I should try more store brands, but I always go for name brand. Of course, I shop in a military grocery store now, and there are no store brands, so maybe that's why. Hmm...

It depends on what im buying. Some things i can buy store brands and other things have to be name brand..Some time you dont save by buying cheap things. Dont last as long and you dont save that much after all.

I buy both. There are certain stuff that I like and won't buy unless it is name brand. But things like can vegtables..I buy in any brand.

For about two years I did product demonstrations in a grocery store chain. Several times a year we did "Dare to Compare" blind taste tests. I would say that in at least 75% of the tests I did, or knew about, the store brand was the preferred brand. Sometimes they have more flavor because more seasoning is added to make up for less fat, sometimes they are even healthier versions. It is kind of fun to do this.

I almost always buy store brand, or value brand, if I can. There are a few exceptions- like if I have a craving for something in particular, or something is on sale for a great price, or I happen to have a coupon for it. I'm not really loyal to many brands, so I don't mind buying the cheaper stuff. Most of the time, it tastes just the same.

I'm with you on this. I'll try the store brands once, but if I don't like them, I'll pay the extra money for the name brands. I have found that most of the store brands don't taste as good, and believe me, my family does notice! They're a bunch of picky eaters.
