Ever been happy to be broke? I know it sounds crazy; but I am really happy to be broke right now. My hubby is the world's pickiest eater. He isn't a typical picky eater that truly can't stomache things. He was spoiled to no end by his mother. So far as to make him a new hamburger if the tiniest piece of his got overdone!! (he has begun eating things that his mother allowed him to stop eating but only a few)
Well he has always made things hard for us at meal time. He doesn't want to eat this or that. I can't tell you how many times we resorted to take out to keep the peace and make things easy. Lately I have been telling him over and over that we can't afford to keep eating out.
I would tell him and it would go in one ear and out the other! Well the other day we overdrew our bank account and ended up incurring $210 in fees!!! Well we live paycheck to paycheck and that amount would hurt at any time but it is 100 times worse when it is rent week!! Well of course it is rent week so I am flat broke! But I am happy cause that means NO TAKE OUT!! I have to cook and he has to eat it. I won't try to force him to eat something I know he HATES but he is going to be eating a greater variety of foods!
Aaahh to be broke!!

We eat out way too often, as well, but it is mostly a time thing. Our schedules have been so weird for awhile that the only way to spend time together is when we eat, and eating out is easier, then I can concentrate on hubby and he on me. Having said that, I will also say that eating out cripples our budget, fattens my waistline, clogs our arteries, and gives me acid reflux, often, and gives hubby diarrhea. So why do we keep on doing it? Hubby regards it as a way to treat me well. It has to stop, though. Good luck on your family eating plans.

That's why I am happy to be broke. Forces us to eat in!
Hopefully you find your way out of your eating out cycle.
