My hubby did something that was quite funny very recently. He is a Police Officer with Missing Persons. Before that, he worked for Crime Stoppers. This is where people ring (usually anonomously) to report a crime. Of course, the majority of reports are silly, fake, or just drunk people ringing. Last week we had a full eclipse of the moon. Secretly hubby went to the phone & rang Crime Stoppers. In a very serious voice, he reported a crime against the moon. He said.... " I know who stole the moon" (in a deep, serious voice) Crime Stoppers.... " Er, er... what?" Hubby ... " I know who stole the Moon". Crime Stoppers..... silence * Being inside, they had completely forgotton about the eclipse of the moon. Hubby... "It was the Man in the Moon".. (said in a serious voice). The above scenerio went on for a few minutes, whilst crime stoppers tried to work out what sort of idiot was ringing. Eventually they remembered the eclipse, & finally recognised my hubby's voice.

I thought it was pretty cute. I just hope his fellow officers also have a sense of humor.

Apparently at least one of them has, as similar jokes were done when hubby worked for them.

That is funny! I think the workers should of known your husband's voice, but clearly they must get a lot of calls and try to listen to each person no matter what they wish to report. He sure did get them good.

I think he sort of disguised his voice, a bit, at least initially. It was funny though. They get so mamy silly calls To Crime Stoppers.

I bet he had a good laugh on them. It was probably a good tension reliever as well. I have heard of people and groups that have had practical jokes going back and forth for years and years. I think it keeps brain cells, and friendships active.

It is good for my husband, as he gets quite stressed at times & I think this joking helps him to destress.

Now that would have been funny to have been there and seen some of their faces at this report. I loved it. Even though they know who makes a fake call nothing is done? Just curious is all. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

Hi jennybianca! That is funny. Those crime stoppers may be laughing so hard when they realized that it was your husband who is pulling a fast one on them. haha..at least that is something that would make them smile and happy for the day. Take care and have a nice day.

I think a good joke helps keep the stress & tension of their job at bay. I sure laughed when I heard about it.
