Action speaks louder than words means that what someone does is more important than what someone says. Do you think this phrase is true to you or not? For me, it is important to match the words we say to our actions. It is also important to use words to show love, appreciation, approval and happiness, and then follow those words with a hug, touch or a smile. There would be an impact if you use them together, the action reinforces the words. Sometimes we can't just assume something because we might interpret someone's action differently, we also need the words to confirm it. How about you? what's your opinion? Do you think "action speaks louder than words" ? Does this phrase means something to you?

It means a lot to me because words are nothing but a lot of hot air and vocal cords running wild. But when you put the words into action then it shows you mean what you say. When I promise something, I will do my darnest to keep that promise especially to a child. If you don't keep a promise to a child, they'll remember it for the rest of their lives. However they'll remember it too when you keep them!

It means a lot to me. A childhood sweetheart of mine disarmed me with her smile. Later on she made me really think about everything by willingly embracing me. It was much better than words (a good amount of which can be deception). I rarely encounter things like this, so I do read more into actions than words.
I am careful though, since a few words can be even more hurtful or helpful than actions.

it is true that sometimes we like to see more action than words or might as well say to put action in words! well, we can't just confirm how true the words if we can't see it through action, or we feel the sincerity more if we see that they are doing what they say. hope you have a nice day theprogamer!

Hi claire03! Although, I agree with that phrase "Action speaks louder than words", I prefer the actions to be backed up with those words. It is very important for me to have both so that everything will be clear so as not to misunderstood anything or anyone. I guess, I am one of those who just don't get it quickly. LOL! Take care and have a nice day.

Well Claire, Sure this is right and i do agree with ut and try to follow it in my life too.
its important that what u say u act on it.
i believe its better to do things than just saying it. Simple if u r boss in office and want ur subordinate to be puntual, only telling them will not do good if u urself come late, but if u are ontime daily then ur subordinates will be on time daily.
Or if politicians/Gov do social work instread of just saying then its obvious and u can see it
So sure Actions speaks louder than Words

I think actions speak louder than words, especially when there is a person that is afraid to say what is on their mind or they just aren't too great with words. Then again, there are some people that just do terrible things and these things prove that they aren't really great people, especially when you see them do the same things time and time again. It's sad really. Besides, people can say one thing, but in what they do really proves how they feel.

No, This is not true because some time words speak really louder than action!
Ideally WORDS are like blue print and action is a built structure on it!
And I believe in this:
THE SILENCE SPEAKS LOUDER THAN WORDS AND ACTIONS TOO!

Hi there again Claire, well i do believe that Action SHOULD speak louder than your words.
It says that, you should be true to your words and do not do the talking only but do it as well.
Stand with your words as it would be the basis how reliable you are!
Have a nice day ahead from Kiko and happy posting and earning here and Godspeed.

Hello claire03, yes I believe it true that our action speaks louder than our words. Its a common thing to hear people say that they are like this, do this or will do this but from what action they are actually doing its totally the opposite of what they are saying. Sometimes I think its best that one should act and do what one feels first before opening one's mouth. :-)

I do think actions speak louder than words. I've had people in the past say they care and then treat me like dirt. It is hard to believe they really care. When they keep doing things that they know hurt me. I don't knowingly hurt people I care about.

Yeah, if you roll your eyes but don't say anything, everyone knows what you mean by doing it.

I believe its very true and its something that anyone who knows me knows I take very seriously....Talk is cheap alot of the times..especially when a person does the same "mistake" over and over for example...so when that person says "I'm sorry" over and over I just dont believe it...my reply is ALWAYS "show me, dont tell me"...its the same with the phrase "I love you"....ANYONE can say that and have it not mean a damn thing..I've seen it happen far too many times so saying "I love you" to ME means little to nothing....show me..dont tell me...;-)

Yes, I believe in this phrase. When someone loves you, for instance, you should see whether his actions correlate with his word. Our tongues don't have any bone. Thus, it is so easy to say rather than to act.

Actions mean a lot more then words i think. I believe that its better to express how u feel with action like with a gift. Because u can say u love some1 and that you would do almost anything for that person but in reality u dont care the least for that person. so i think that what you do is more important than what u say.
Then again, what u say can also be very powerfull. Like when a child tels his or her parents that she hates them that can really tare a parent apart. So i think that it depends what situation it is.

Well I firmly believe that actions speak louder than words. Always have. For instance, in past relationships, I had boyfriends tell me they loved me. But everything they did, showed me that it really wasn't true. On the contrast, I also had an ex-boyfriend who really didn't say "I love you" often, but I knew he did becuase of the way he treated me, like gold. These are just examples I'm giving to explain why I believe that actions do in reality, speak louder than words.

yes, action speaks louder than words...
but words compliment the action..
so ideally, both should work together..(which doesn't really happen often)
