After some stress today I went shopping, hahaha, then for a walk with my camera. I was at a local nature center and decided against walking in the paths due to the mud from the recent and ongoing rain. So I drove to a lot across the street taking some photos. It was a relief just seeing these serene sights. I was so calm after this photo taking session I can't begin to exp;lain the relief and burden lifted from my heart and soul at that time. But I feel much better now as you can tell by my new discussions. HAHAHA. What do you do for relief of stress in your daily life? Do you like taking photos at all? HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

I sell them at the craft fairs and art festivals I attend. I have sent several to troops myself. I adopted a communications team of 8 last year...they are home now.....and lately have been sending them to a gal that runs the commisary on the main base in Aftghanistan. I have sent over 300 hand stamped cards for the troops to use to greet their families etc. I had help...my sisters..my friend from Wisconsin and my sister in law. We get together once in a while and just stamp for the troops. If you know of someone who would want one just pm or email me.

When I lived in Florida I would sit on the beach late at night watching the tide and enjoying the crashing of the waves. That's very relaxing as well. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB M!!~

A walk in a pleasant environment can do wonders for stress. bout one & half weeks ago, my hubby & I went for a walk in the nearby nature reserve called Tangari Native Park. It is fairly small & cdan be walked around the whole perimeter. It is quite native with many, many gum trees & native shrubs & lots of creeks (all dry at the moment). Their are dirt psths everywhere. We had a very emjoyable relaxing time, even tjhoyugh we did bring the dogsd who were silly. So I can understand how you felt when you had this walk. We don't usually take our camera on walks, but nearly always have our mobile phoines which can take photos. I wrote a comment on your lovely photo.

I do several things to help reduce stress. First, I will sit in front of my fish tanks to enjoy watching the fish play and eat. If this doesn't make me feel calm, then its time to take a walk around the block, so that I'm not eating junk food. Last resort have a glass of Pepsi or Coke and a chocolate bar and I'm sure that I'll be happy, as I might not be calm just awake and cleaning my house.

My biggest stress-reliever is walking. I prefer walking at night and enjoying the night sounds but I do hike during the day and enjoy nature at it's best. Another stress-reliever for me is gardening. I had a headache this past Sat. that Advil couldn't even budge but 2 hrs. of gardening left me feeling tired but headache-free.

I like to take photos, but I do not get them downloaded like I should. I am not sure what I do to relieve stress, maybe I do not, at least not enough. I do understand your feeling about that nature center. If I ever get up to your neck of the woods for a visit (next spring, I hope) I will have to see it. We have nice ones here. This is the second post you have mentioned your stress today. Hope everything is alright. I like nature centers that have water features. Being near open water seems to be very soothing.

Since I refuse to be stressed, I often will go for a walk to deal with any lingering bad feelings. Stress is only a state of mind and you can choose to not let it wreck you day. Getting out is a great way to become more peaceful.

I like taking photos but mostly as a keepsake ... to remember the great moments ... To relieve stress, well excercise is a great way for me ... I also enjoy comedies to set my mood higher ... reading a book is also a great way for me to escape this world and stop thinking about all those things that an over stress us

Hi grandpabob! Its hard to walk here atleast,we have a main road in front of our house full of logging trucks and transports and the speed limit is 90 km/hour and when i want to go,so does my daughter so we stay away from the fast traffic.I have a trail/path behind our house and like to walk there,it smells so good in the woods.Hopefully next summer i plan on making a little sanctuary oasis there to sit and relax in while taking in nature.I go outside,it is when im at my best is when im outside in the nature away from the human contraptions.I do like taking photos but never got into it,but would like to just like you. Peanutjar:)

It's awfully good to walk round if you have some stress, especially with your friends or your girl. You could release yourself by this way.But I don't go shopping when I am affected by stressful situations.
