Has Anybody Seen Our Friend Around Lately?

I'm growing a little concerned for our friend VMKS. He made a constant habit of responding to my discussions and I hadn't seen him in a long time, so I checked his profile to find that he hasn't logged in now, for three weeks. This is very unlike him, and I'm a little worried.
I did pop over to the Y place, to see if I could see him on there, but I can't get on with that site at all and it was taking me ages to get from one place to another. I find it very difficult to navigate if not slower than a snail. So, I didn't get to search properly.
I'm a member of the M site, and I haven't seen him there, so now, I'm becoming concerned for his well-being.
Has anybody seen VMKS, or Archie anywhere else in their travels? I miss him!

I have just checked in Yuwie but as I am not to sure of his User Name there I have not found anyone with Archie or the other Name
I would need more details like where he is from and his Age to do a proper Search

Thank you Gabs. I'm not sure he would be a member there as he has enough difficulty in navigating the computer as it is and in my opinion, that would be just about too difficult for him. His ID on here is VMKS31, but Weemam always calls him Archie. Go to his profile if you wish... he's from Canada. I know he went for chemo about 3-4 weeks ago, but what's happened since, I have no idea. It's just not like him to be gone so long.

It seems he's been banned, my friend. (See Raydene's response). Heaven knows why... he was such a sweet guy, but I guess in the end, he got a bit carried away with cutting and pasting without acknowledging the source. More a case of his not being able to understand the technologies, I feel, but I miss him!

no I have only seen him on here answering your posts or you his just hope he isnt sick or anything . Do you have an email addy for him .
Lets hope his cancer hasnt progreesed where he cant coeme on any more and I dont go to those othr places but there is somethig going on with him if he isnt any where. heres hoping you find him well and doing good and my prayers will go up for him. hugs and blessing

No, I don't. I did ask him for it one time, because he didn't know how to upload pictures and I was going to send some with instructions, but he never did give it to me. Oh well... I suppose he'll loom up somewhere, sometime, if he's been banned.

Oh dear... so, we will never know what becomes of him, but then, I guess things happen for a reason, although I can't think for the life of me, a reason for this one. Was it a Yahoo address? I just might be able to fathom it, if it was. :)

Ohhhhhhhh, nooooooooo. He's a great guy, and I feel that his inability to understand the technology of the computer and perhaps the guidelines have led to this. I did notice that he was having difficulty in reply to some discussions and in an attempt to contribute something of value, was cutting and pasting a lot, without acknowledgement to the source. I guess that was his downfall, but he had a good following, and was a very active member, which leads me back to the same old same. Why, oh why, can't they warn us at least once, before banning. So many good debaters have been removed from this site. It saddens my heart to see them go, my friend.

Hello my precious friend..
I could check back on the exact date but somewhere in the last couple of weeks I got a personal e-mail from him requesting that I contact Mylot because he could not log on. Evidently his membership had been suspended because he had posted information that was copyright protected and there was a question of plagiarism. He asked me to invite his as a friend and he signed up under a similar user name. I did e-mail Mylot and sent copies of the e-mails Archie had sent to me presenting his side of the story but they did not answer. referral for him...but he did return and I will e-mail you with his new name. Nor did they assign him as a referral to me even though he did sign up as a new friend. I wondered about the whole situation because the name was similar and they he did not show up as my referral even though he was back on line for awhile.
He posted a couple of responses to my discussions and now I haven't heard anything for a few days. Maybe Mylot twigged to the fact that he joined under a similar name and have barred him again. If that is the case...maybe we need to start a Mylot Members petition to get him back as the valued member he actually is.
Like you I am concerned about his health and wellbeing. I have another address to reach him...and will send a message and let you know if he responds...and hope you or others will do the same.

Uh oh. Methinks he shouldn't have tried to come back under a different name, because they will have his IP address, and instantly know it's him. Another friend tried that once and I think now, he's been banned for life from this site. He is on other sites, but none of them are the same as this one, and I feel if only he had waited and then apologised to the powers that be here, he might have been allowed back at a later stage... others have been.
Thank you for trying to contact him... I hope he responds because at least whilst he was here talking to us, we knew how he was keeping, healthwise. I miss him too, even though he was breaking the guidelines a bit. If only he'd acknowledged the sources of his cut and pasting, he would have been ok, but he's quite innocent, in that he doesn't understand the workings of things too well.

Hi Pattie, and thank you. It would seem he's ok from some of these responses, but banned from Mylot. I do hate the fact that they do that and don't allow people to let their friends know in here, that they're banned. They just disappear, and it sets off all kinds of thoughts.

You are right, I had thought about him recently myself. Have you sent him a personal message? I know he was undergoing some experimental treatment. I do not post that many discussions, so I was not too surprised that I had not seen him, but I was sort of expecting him to respond soon, as I started a new one last night. What is the M site?

Yes, it seems that VMKS has been banned. Take a look at Raydene's response, two above this. :( At least it wasn't health problems, thanks to the powers that be! xxx

No, I have not seen your friend but I will keep an eye open on some of the sites that I go to. If I see your friend, I will let you know. There is a site that I was enjoying but then I started picking up a ton of viruses from that site. I cleaned them all out. Now I don't go to that site very often and when I do, I clean the computer right away. Perhaps, your friend was not fast enough and the viruses have hurt his computer. But let's hope that is not the case here.
