Freakin' Dial-up

As most my friends here on mylot know I and my family are living a very stress filled life these past few months. I have dial-up service and this sucks as I need my phone open a lot lately. So this is my way of saying I will be here at nights only Central Time. I won't be on during the days till a few things get straightened out via the phone. We are still awaiting a call to see what's happening with my wifes brothers health and the donor process. That is the main reason for my absence and lack of time here this past few days. it will continue as well till we hear something. I won't be answering as many discussions as I used to either. Sorry friends. Take care all.

Well, we do what we have to do, I did notice that you were conspicuously missing. I hope you have a good holiday week. I am going to be gone, and not on as much myself. We want to know as soon as it is possible for your to give us any kind of updates, though. You are right, you, and your family have just had all kinds of stress this year. Take care my friend.

Hey Bob, I know that feeling all to well with dial up.. I had that for a few years until my phone company finally gave us a option to have DSL and of course we took them up on the offer... But for your wifes brother i hope that things are going good with him!! Happy Thanksgiving!!!!

Nope no snow here, Just down right cold... I have a friend in NJ that got 9 plus inches yesterday!!! I told him i told the snow guy to send it his way... I was holding out until at least Christmas! lol

I keep mentioning getting rid of dial up and nothing ever transpires. HAHAHAHA! Oh well it is still enough to get me online. I'm fine I think. yA GOT ANY SNOW YET? i WANT SOME HERE IN mINNESOTA. hahaha

As I am the caregiver and not really "working", my wife is the
bread winner, and the final choice is hers. I keep asking to get
rid of dial up get high speed internet and a cell phone but alac
not a thing being done. So I deal with slow azz dial up. HAHAHAHAHA!!

Hi grandpa Bob, Now don't you worry about a thing..I am sorry you have dial-up but your family is number one right now..As far as your extended family here on Mylot, we can wait...You just concentrate on your wife and her brother and we will be here to hear all the good news when you get it...Deep breath now....Hugs to you....

I'm sorry to hear for the troubles you've been undergoing. I'll say a prayer tonight that a donor is found quickly and your wife's brother maeks a fast and speedy recovery.

Dad is a whole other story the past few days. Ugghh!!Very soon actually. Wooo Hooo! He has a deadlt type of Leukemia & needs
a bone marrow dononation. My wife is a 100% match for him.

Just focus on the thing that is more important for the meantime, GrandPa. We understand you're situation and we know that you're having a hard time assessing all of these, it will pass and sooner or later you'll be back again here posting!;)

I use to have dial up and had to change or not get any calls. There are three people in this house that love the internet, so it was a nightmare. I know how hard it really is on dial up. Happy holidays.

Until this thing with the bone marrow I've never worried
about the phone being tied up as I was online. Now I need

Oh man, dial up is the worse, you have my sympathy and then to have someone take it away..I am sorry..that is cruel and unusual punishment.

Dial-up really sucks and i have used it for a long time until early this year when I had broadband. Whatever you and your family are going through right now Grandpa Bob, you will all overcome them with flying colors. Together you can move mountains...though pretty cliche but i really believe it. I wish you and your family strength. God bless!

Sorry to hear about your brother in law and the stresses your going through at the moment. I know what you mean with dial-up, it use to frustrate me to no end. You do what you have to do and will see you when we see you. Take care!

Oh I am sorry for you... dial up is definitelly the worst internet connection there is. I used dial up like 2 years ago and sometimes it was so annoying I just wanted to throw my computer out through the window. Hope that you will get better connection from better ISP :)

I've been using it for almost 17 years. I am used to the slowness.

Wow I haven't had dial-up in such a long time. Even when we had two lines. That must be a real big pain. Well good luck to you and I'm sure we'll hear lots from you later.

i use to have dial-up service before and it was too slow, and yes, you will not be able to use the phone.
but since it was too slow and i also had to use the phone, had to change it already with dsl, and i get access to the internet better.
chk out what they have availbale, it may not be expensive.
