Does wearing a bra increase your chances of getting cancer? this study thinks so http://health2us.com/bra.htm "When a woman wears a tight bra, she subjects her bre@sts to pressure, closing off the lymphatic pathway from the bre/ast to the nodes. This causes fluid build-up, swelling, tenderness and cyst formation. Toxins must be flushed out via the lymphatics. However, a bra-constricted brea'st cannot adequately perform this cleansing process, resulting in toxin accumulation in the braest." go to the website and read the full (short) article, it is an interesting view point which may be credible. what do you think? will it change your bra wearing habit? Is the reason women who have nursed their young have lower incidence because they expose their "brest" more often?

I have heard this. Thats probably why your told that when you buy a bra make sure it fits right. I went into Victoria secrets and got fitted for a bra and I love it, it fits perfectly because they made sure it was right for my body. I think the only people who have to worry about changing there bra's are the ones who wear ones that are too small.

yep, that is the advice, do not wear them too tight - if you were them, and no longer than 12 hours aday, at the very least do not sleep in them. the article is fairly short and worth the read, it makes some good and I think valid points.

I think there is no scientific evidence to prove that...despite what the study thinks...

there were tests done on women in fiji, half who wore bras and half who did not - of those that did the cancer rate was equal to that in the US of those that did not there was no incidence of cancer of that type. if the med profession admitted to this possibility it would all but choke out the mass amounts of funds accumulated each year.:

I have read all kinds of reports and not sure what is true anymore. The one thing I'm sure of is a tight bra really makes my body ache, so its important to wear the right size. I don't think feeding baby this way reduces cancer risk and some babies should never be fed this way. My youngest daughter had to have special milk and still can't drink regular milk now. I had special milk also. Please listen and do what your doctor says is safe. I never let a report make me change what I am doing now.

I have heard this before but really am not sure myself whether it's true or not. My situation is - ok I admit it I'm not very well indowed in the upper portion of my body... Ok, ok, I'm flat chested. There are advantages to this though - I know men aren't after me for that feature :) and as I've aged I don't have them hanging to my belly button, and best of all - I can get away with not wearing a bra a lot of the time :) FREEDOM :) When going out I do usually wear one but if just running to the store or around the house I seldom do. Knock on wood, so far I've had no cancer problems.

I have always been well-endowed and when I was younger I wore a bra all the time except at night when I slept. Now I only wear one when I go out. Around the house I don't wear one...I love the freeness of it. **AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~

I doubt it. Long before women were wearing bras they had other undergarmets.
