They have a new drink out, sounds like it ought to be wonderful, chocolate cherry diet Dr. Pepper. I mean, HOW could they go wrong? Its Chocolate! Its Cherry!! and ITS DIET DR PEPPER!!!! Its NASTY! I think the cherry vanilla is better & I don't much care for that either! I threw away over a half a 20 oz. bottle.

I have not tried it yet, but it does not sound very good to me. I will stick with regular diet dr. pepper.

I love regular diet Dr Pepper, but I've been under-whelmed by the flavors. this one sounded like it ought to be good, so it was very disappointing.

Ok, I tried it tonight. To me it tastes like chocolate flavored lip balm. You know the way your lips taste if you lick them after you put the lip balm on. That is what it reminds me of. My son loves it though.

O_O I tried it a few weeks ago, and I loved it. It tasted like a cherry-flavored Tootsie Pop. It was absolutely delicious. I guess it takes all kinds of people to make up the pop-drinking world. I'm still amazed, though. I thought it was spectacular.

Maybe we're getting a bad lot, I did taste the chocolate, but it was just over run with a nasty bitter taste. I know someone else got a twelve pack & freecycled 11 of them cause they didn't like it - that was my first knowlege about the stuff.

Yeah, that definitely doesn't sound right. The stuff I tried was sweet, with only a little bit of that diet after taste. I suggest trying it again in a few weeks, when a new shipment has probably come in. That, or try it next time you're out of town. Because that doesn't sound at all like what it should taste like. No wonder you think it's disgusting.

I don't like water, while Austin is supposed to have good water, I find I don't care for the taste most of the year. I am just too lazy to make iced tea.

I saw the chocolate cherry Diet Dr. Pepper in the store and couldn't get over how desperate the campaign marketers must have been. Carbonated chocolate does not scream success to me. Yuck. Thanks for confirming how bad I thought it would taste.

There's a drink, Canfield's Diet Cherry Chocolate Fudge Soda that is wonderful. If I were going to go for a diet chocolate drink this is the one I'll go for next time.

I am so glad that you warned me..Diet Dr. Pepper is my drink, i think it is the best diet drink on the market, and that is all that i drink..I would have been fool enough to try that new flavor since i do love Dr. Pepper, but now i know better...I really just drink the regular Dr.Pepper anyway, but i have tried the cherry vanilla and it is ok but the reg is my first choice...

Strange, now, one of my other responders loves it, but taste is all, well, a matter of taste. I have had arguements with FRIENDS that don't understand, I don't like certain flavors. One was sure I didn't like grapefruit because it was bitter (that's mostly why I don't care for nuts) and nagged until I tasted it. I finally did so I could go - yeah, sweet, tastes like grapefruit. I DON'T LIKE GRAPEFRUIT! I ate it as a kid until I grew up enough to tell my mom - Why am I eating this? I don't like it. I have never liked it. I'm not eating/drinking it any more.

I have no one to look after me in my old age either but that's not going to stop me trying to live as long as possible - I rater like living :-) I never drink fizzy soft drinks, for one think, I don't particularly care for the taste, and for another, I don't think that drinking chemical concoctions go to well with a healthy lifestyle.

I know they say its bad for us, but I'm not planning to live to my mom's age. I don't have a devoted daughter to take care of me like mom does.

I've only seen the flavor in the diet form. It might not be so bad in the sugared form, who knows.

There's a drink by Cadfields that's chocolate & pretty tasty, not as good as regular diet dr pepper, but not nasty. Ya know, I don't care for any of the flavors they've added to diet dr pepper, I think if they just added cherry, like they have to coke, maybe it'd be good.

Well I dont like the cherry vanilla Dr.Pepper. I think thats nasty. I dont like any soda thats real sweet. YUK! I drink ginger al and an occasional pepsi. So chocolate cherry Dr.Pepper sounds terrible to me.

I don't like the cherry vanilla or the berries dr pepper. I like sweet, but I love ginger ale. I can't drink any cola so there's hardly anything Pepsi has that I can drink.

They have only played around with a few variations of Diet Dr Pepper here ... the cherry one is the only one that passed the test with consumers.

I saw that in the store and went good Lord how much longer of a name can you get than Chocolate Cherry Diet Doctor Pepper... Holy Crap. I really can't drink sodas anymore they are just too... heavy for me and Propel answered that call very nicely. Even juices I will 'cut' to make them less sweet. I might just have to go buy a bottle of this just to say I drank it.

I like sweet, I drink diet because I just don't need those extra calories & I find that sugared sodas are too sweet & go flat faster.

Thanks for the warning and I'll be sure not to try it. I like Dr. Pepper and diet Dr. pepper too but I had to cut back on diet sodas as they gave me migraine headaches. I have cut out all artificial sweeteners now, or most anyway. I do get the lite yogurt and it has some in it. I'll have to try some cherry flavor in my Dr. Pepper at sonic with a shot of chocolate. It does sound good.

Ouchers, I know a few people that have problem with Aspertane, Its one of the few things that don't seem to bother me. Have you tried the diet sodas with Splenda? I guess I'm just not brave enough to add chocolate to my DDP as well as the cherry - I'm pretty old fashioned.

We do not have that over here in UK and even if they bought it out I do not think I would bother trying it. I love chocolate, love cherries and love Dr pepper but all those flavours at once just sounds a bit too much to me. The chery Dr pepepr sound snice but not chocolate. I just can not imagine having fizzy chocolate flavour drink. I prfer my chocolatey drinks to be creamy or milky.

I'm glad to know someone else didn't like it. I drank less than half a bottle of the stuff & threw it in the recycle bin. I managed to drink all the cherry vanilla one I got and have drunk it when nothing else was available a time or 2, not nearly as nasty. This TASTED diet!

That does sound half way decent to drink. I bet it was nasty though with all of those flavors mixed into one drink and that it was diet also. I pretty much like a single flavor in my drinks too. I don't care too much for vanilla but my husband loves it.

Aw, you burst my bubble, darn it!....It sounded good as I like Dr. Pepper very much, but now I'm hesitant. I do like the cherry vanilla too, so this sounded right up my alley when they mentioned, mmmmm, chocolate. Phooey, haha!.....maybe I'll try it anyway, what the heck, but I'd hate to throw out a whole bottle too.
